Uno dei primissimi lavori della regista ghanese Frances Bodomo è finalmente online.
Boneshaker, uscito nel 2013, ha come protagonista Quvenzhané Wallis – la più giovane attrice di sempre ad essere stata candidata all'Oscar, e racconta di una famiglia africana in viaggio nella Louisiana rurale, alla ricerca di una chiesa per curare il male che affligge una delle due figlie.
Il film è uscito su Nowness ed è uno staff pick di Vimeo.
«Boneshaker focuses on the feelings of homelessness, landlessness, and rootlessness that often accompany immigration. I grew up in constant motion – moving from Ghana to Norway, to Hong Kong, to the USA – and as a result have always felt homesick for a home I have never had, nostalgic for a place I have never visited».
