My wife is on a sewing spree. She is on summer break and throwing herself into making all kinds of fun dresses that fit her. Jack-Jack is a good model too but requires payment in advance. No treats, no poses.

Mr. Peanut, Archie and Daisy came to the studio the other day. Their dad bought a gift certificate for a photo session for their mom and he did not disappoint. We spent quite some time getting each one in front of the camera so we could get these three photos just as we wanted. Each pup has their own, strong personality so we had to break them up to avoid photo bombing. All in all, there were lots of treats given and some beautiful photos taken. I call that a successful day.

These three pups came to the studio today. It was a gift for the holidays and they were excited to come to the studio. Daisy, the big girl, was really shy but came around quickly and loved to model. I even caught her chasing her tail.

Since I had some help today, I tried a new backdrop. Since @gouachegirlz keeps coming home with new fabrics, I keep wanting to use them before she makes them into dresses. I enjoyed messing around with my pups and working with a narrow depth of field. We got a few really fun photos after I took them out for a good walk to get them ready.

Franklin and Rose were pretty happy about the snow and playing with me. I took advantage and got some really nice photos. It’s my first snow session in a while. The best part is I’ve got another one coming with the next big storm. If you’ve got a snow dog, this is a great way to create unique portraits.

It’s always a sad day when my clients looses one of their dogs. I’ve had the honor to photograph Molly for over 5 years. Her family gave Molly the very best life and has done so much for so many furry family members.
