#bridgerton 2x01
Full disclosure The Viscount Who Loved Me by Julia Quinn is one of my all time favourite books and Kate Sheffield my favourite heroine. I do not have high hopes for this season of Bridgerton.
What I liked:
- Benedict., Hyacinth, Violet Bridgerton, Penelope, Eloise, Edwina
- The music
- Penelope and Eloise’s conversation in the flowers, especially on being a wallflower
- Violet letting everyone know the Viscount is in search of wife
- Kate letting Anthony know he isn’t all that
- How they showed Anthony’s stress
- Eloise, Anthony and Penelope pointing out the importance of books and reading
What was okay:
- The change in the Kate and Anthony meet cute
- Anthony is STILL NOT my Anthony but he’s doing a better job than I thought he would.
What I did not care for:
- Kate Sharma
- Kate Sharma emphatically letting us know that she is no way related to the Sheffields - pouring salt in the wound.
- Kate Sharma being rude to Lady Danbury and Violet Bridgerton
- The Queen but I didn’t much care for her last time
- The dog, and I usually love dogs so this pains me to say
I will forever be sad that the adaption is not closer to the book.

Simone Ashley “they are both riding alone at dawn as a form of escapism and then they meet.. and the sun’s rising and they’re smiling and it goes from this place of dark, lonely feeling to this spark of hope.” ♥️♥️♥️
