.A Superb New Serum | Benefit Instant Comeback. 

Every time I make a big lifestyle change my skin suffers for it and so three weeks into my new fitness and diet regime I’ve been left with super dry skin that is in need of a bit of extra TLC. I don’t have dry skin naturally so none of my beauty products are really geared up to deal with it apart from my go-to oils and now this new apocothary-style wonder from Benefit. 

Instant Comeback* is a clear gel-like serum to be applied before your moisturiser in the and/or under makeup in the morning and my skin loves it. I always get a little nervous trialling new skincare products, especially serums, but I’ve had absolutely no issues with this bad boy which is one of the reasons I love it even more. The morning after using just two  pumps of Instant Comeback my skin looks and feels glowy, plump and really healthy which is quite the transformation – I liken it to the difference I see after using my Alpha h Liquid Gold but with a little more moisture. It helps firm the skin too, and now I’m on the wrong side of 25 I need all the anti-ageing help I can get with my expressive features! 

A little bit higher than the seemingly normal Benefit price of £24.50, a bottle of Instant Comeback will cost you £36 but a like a lot of serums and richer skin products a little really does go a long way and with it’s handy pump system you won’t over-apply in a hurry. But if you’re really worried, Benefit offer a 28 day money back guarantee with their b.right! skincare so if you don’t love it, you don’t lose out – however I’d be very surprised if anyone took this bottle back. I can’t recommend this serum enough and I’d say it’s definitely one to invest in as we move ever-closer to the Autumn months.

.My New Luxury Summer Love | NEOM Wild Mint & Mandarin Body Scrub.

Over the past year I’ve picked up a real penchant for pampering and for me a luxurious body scrub is the crème de la crème. I’ve found a couple in the past that have truly excited me including Neom’s Real Luxury Body Scrub* and to my glee they’ve only gone and released another one with this stunning Great Day Wild Mint & Mandarin Body Scrub* (£34)! 

You many have also noticed the super slick new packaging design that comes along with this new scent – I absolutely love it! With their new white and black labels NEOM now fits in right at home on the shelf with my other higher end beauty products and looks incredibly smart. Fancy new labels aside, a scrub is only as good as in contents and I’m happy to report that this beautiful new scent is simply to die for.  It smells like summer wandering through an orchard with a mojito in hand - a real zingy, refreshing scent and as always the essential oils leave your skin feeling so soft after use I often find I can skip moisturiser altogether. I like to use mine before a night out as a luxury way to pamper and invigorate me into the party mood! 

A little goes a long way with NEOM scrubs so although the £34 price tag may seem a little daunting in comparison to those you find on the shelf in Boots, you really do get what you pay for. A fantastic way to exfoliate and moisturise your skin and add a little bit of luxury into your shower session with a scent that fills the room as soon as you open the lid. I’m crossing fingers NEOM keep bringing out scrubs for all their scent ranges because I will quite happily work my way through every single one!

.They’re Real Push-Up Liner | Benefit’s Brand New Launch. 

If you haven’t heard about Benefit’s brand new gel liner launch that happened on Saturday where on earth have you been?! The whole beauty world has been a buzz with this innovative new beauty product and I was one of the lucky bene-bloggers who had the opportunity to try out this new addition to the They’re Real  family ahead of schedule…and do you know what? I LOVE IT! 

The PR behind this new launch has been absolutely amazing with shop windows being taken over, beauty criminals running around the streets of London and prisoner themed events across the country! Unfortunately I was on holiday and couldn’t make the launch event but Benefit didn’t let me get away that easily by sending through this incredible package to keep me in the liner loop which is possibly the most fascinating product delivery I’ve ever received –it’switchcraft! But enough about the PR, how does the product itself fair? 

When I first pulled of the lid of my new They’re Real Push-Up Liner* and saw that angled rubber tip I was almost convinced I was going to hate it. Not having the steadiest hands in the world and forever still drawing wonky liner in the mornings I can barely handle a gel pot and brush let alone this strange rubbery contraption but encouraged by the Benefit hashtag of #criminallyeasy I gave it a go…. 

It was love at first use. I couldn’t believe how easy it was to use with the tip getting right into your lashline and the product going on silky smooth. It took a good number of twists to get the gel out the top at first but once done it was a dream to use. It’s pigment is super impressive gliding on jet black and, like it’s mascara partner in crime, it stays on all day long….even through a gruelling kickboxing workout – incredible. The only niggle I have is that each time I find I need to wipe the excess gel away from my previous use with a tissue and twist up again which over time could waste a fair bit of product but it’s not an issue and it keep the gel nice and fresh for each application. Benefit have also released a They’re Real Makeup Remover* to compliment it’s They’re Real eye range as if you’ve used the mascara before you’ll know it’s a bugger to get off! Although I’ve found that the liner (despite not moving all day long) actually comes off quite nicely with my usual remover but this creamy Benefit tube works wonders and I tend to save it for heavy eye makeup days after a night out or using my They’re Real mascara because this bad boy can remove anything! 

So if you’ve been longingly looking at the new They’re Real launches and wondering whether they should make it into your makeup bag then the answer is YES! Although I think they liner applicator could be a real marmite product, if I can use it, anyone can and I think it’s one release you don’t want to miss out on!
