Hi friends and strangers, much as I hate doing this, I am stuck between a rock and a hard place.
I was in an accident on December 19th where the other driver was at fault, and I was injured - I have massive bruising and neck/back issues that I am in the process of getting evaluated. Thankfully it was not worse, but I am still pretty beat up.
I bought my car in November. I made one whole payment on it, and now its totaled beyond repair. My insurance company has issued settlement of roughly 19k, however I owe roughly 28k to the lender. That’s a deficit of around 7 grand that the other driver’s insurance will not pay because the state where I live is a no fault state. I am fortunate that the dealership where I leased the car offers 2500 bucks toward another car, but I cannot conceivably pay toward the 7k loan for a car I don’t own on top of another lease (for a used car, mind you; I do not buy new, the one in the accident was also used). I also will have medical bills that my insurance will cover only up to a certain percent and I am worried about the long term effects.
I also declared and cleared bankruptcy in March, so this was supposed to be a fresh start.
Yes, I do have a lawyer. No, I am not sure it will help. I am working full time currently at a decent job, but my current wage doesn’t allow much wiggle room.
So I am asking for help now. If you or anyone you know could help me out with this sudden nightmare. Whether it be $1 or $1000. I know there are bigger things happening in the world right now, so I understand if you’re hesitant or unable to help. Even just sharing this post might help me out.

I’ve been making slow progress on writing but these past weeks I painted Declan! I didn’t have a portrait of him that I was happy with before this point, so I figured it was about time I changed that.
For the sake of simplicity I didn’t keep track of every injury he’d had before Hardware Day, but included the aftermath of that lovely trip <3
