Steve Harrington x Reader-Ice Cream And Cuddles

Stranger Things Masterlist/Steve Harrington Masterlist

Just a cute little story that I thought of last night!

Hope you all enjoy!

Warning: Alcohol, Drunk reader

  • “Stevie!” Y/n screamed in excitement as she stumbled over to her boyfriend who was standing at the front door, practically falling into his arms.
  • He knew the second he saw her that she was drunk.
  • And it wasn’t just because she stank of alcohol; it was also because of how dilated her eyes were, along with the fact that she could barely walk without stumbling.
  • And she kept giggling as she played with his hair; another sure sign that she was drunk.
  • “Hey, princess,” Steve whispered back with a smile on his face.
  • He was worried about her, of course he was, and he was going to look after her.
  • But part of him was just happy that she was having fun, enjoying herself and her time with her friends as she never really allowed herself to have fun.
  • “I think someone’s a little drunk,” he teased her, rubbing her back softly.
  • “I’m..not..dr..drunk” Y/n hiccuped as she leaned into Steve’s body.
  • Steve couldn’t help but chuckle at how adorable she was trying to deny it.
  • “I think you are,” he continued; lifting her up from the ground and carrying her over to his car.
  • “But the partyyyy…” Y/n whined when Steve placed her on the car seat.
  • “You can stay at the party if you want to…” Steve began, glancing back at the house that was blaring music.
  • “Or I can take you back to mine and we can cuddle…and maybe even have some ice cream?” he continued; with a smile on his face.
  • Cuddles and ice cream were Y/n’s weakness.
  • “Sound like a plan?”
  • Y/n nodded excitedly as Steve buckled up Y/n’s seat belt.

~~~~~~
  • “Ice cream,” Y/n squealed as Steve handed her the ice cream tub and a spoon. She looked as excited as a kid in a candy store, and it made Steve’s heart swell.
  • “As promised,” Steve cooed, joining Y/n on the bed, where she’d already stolen the majority of the blanket.
  • “It’s sooooo cold!” she babbled in an astounded tone, her eyes going wide as she did so.
  • “That’s because it’s ice cream, love,” Steve chuckled, making sure to add extra emphasis on the word ‘ice’
  • “So cold but so yummyyy…” she trailed off as she put the spoon full of ice cream in her mouth.
  • It didn’t take long before Y/n had enough of the cold ice cream and was burying herself under the blanket, stealing it completely away from steve.
  • “Okay blanket thief, I guess I’ll freeze to death,” Steve joked, as Y/n snuggled up into his chest.
  • “My blanket,” Y/n giggled, placing a soft kiss on Steves cheek.
  • “You need to drink some water before you sleep,” Steve whispered, grabbing the glass that was on his bedside.
  • “But sleeepppp,”Y/n mumbled, her eyes already closed as she rested her head on Steves chest.
  • “Water first love, then you can sleep, it’ll help with tomorrows hangover” Steve said gently, sitting up slightly in the bed-forcing Y/n to sit up with him, much to her annoyance.
  • Reluctantly, Y/n did as Steve had instructed and took small sips from the glass he had handed her.
  • “Now can I sleep?” Y/n asked, handing the now empty glass back to Steve.
  • “Yes, princess, now you can sleep,” Steve cooed as Y/n snuggled into Steve’s chest, her head resting in the center of his chest once again.
  • Steve held her close, lightly rubbing Y/ns back until she drifted off to sleep.
Warnings: Missing person, mentions of runnig away/kidnap/death
Steve wished he could be happy; enjoying the amusement park like his friends were.
But even though he forced a smile onto his face, he could not be genuinely happy, no matter how hard he tried to be.
In truth, he hadn’t been happy since Y/n disappeared…seven months ago…
He just wished he could get her back, he didn’t even know where to start though.
“Come on, Steve,” one of the girls, Bea, called out to him before grabbing his arm and dragging him over towards one of the rides, where the rest of the group were standing.
Truth be told, Steve wasn’t even sure why he had agreed to come to the amusement park today; his friends had said that it might help to cheer him up a bit, distract him from the fact that Y/n had gone missing.
It seemed that all of his friends had moved past her disappearance pretty quickly.
Sometimes, he felt like he was the only one in Hawkins who still gave a shit about her.
Of course, like any disappearance, people had their own conspiracies.
 Some people thought she’d run away; but Steve knew Y/n, he knew that that was something she would never do. Her life hadn’t been easy, that much was true, but she was coming out of the darkness on the other side; and Steve had been there for her through it all and not once, not even during her darkest days did she talk about running away. Or at least that’s what he kept telling himself, in his heart he couldn’t bring himself to believe that theory, despite the fact that it was the popular theory people had.
It’s what the police believed. And that was part of the problem; the only one that didn’t was Hopper, though due to lack of evidence he could no longer keep officially investigating the case.
Other people believed that she was kidnapped and killed; but Steve didn’t believe that either.
He couldn’t.
In his heart; he couldn’t bring himself to believe it.
There was no sign of a break in at her house; no sign of any disturbance, no broken glass or anything else; everything was exactly how Y/n left it, nothing was out of place. There was no sign of blood or any other injury; and he knew that Y/n wouldn’t have gone anywhere without a fight. And on the night she disappeared; no one heard anything out of the ordinary.
There was no theory that made sense in Steve’s head. And there wasn’t going to be until he got some answers, though he doubted he would ever get the answers he was desperately seeking.
So it just left Steve feeling lost. But one thing remained in his heart, hope.
Hope that one day he would see her again and be able to tell her the one secret he kept from her throughout all of their friendship.
~~~~~~

Steve really tried to enjoy himself at the amusement park; for a few moments he even found that he was.

But then he ended up thinking about Y/n, how much she would’ve loved this place; the cotton candy, the games, the rides. All of it. He could hear her laugh in his head and it just made his heart ache.

But now the day was drawing to a close; the park was closing for the day and people were making their way quickly towards the exit.

Then, he saw something…well, not something, someone. Someone he recognised almost instantly, despite the hood of their hoodie being up, Y/n.

She was standing in the middle of a crowd of people who were all quickly leaving the exit, not paying any attention to the girl who stood in the middle of them.

She looked scared, petrified even…and then he saw the tears slowly benign to fall from her eyes.

Without any hesitation, Steve left his group of friends and raced towards Y/n. Desperately trying to reach her; to comfort her but he couldn’t seem to make it through the swarm of people between them.

Part of him thought he’d imagined seeing her; the hope in his heart playing a cruel trick on his mind.

And then he saw someone running towards the woods. It had to be Y/n. It had to be…

He darted after the figure that was running into the forest, despite his friends calling him back.

“Y/n/n?”  Steve shouted, as his eyes frantically searched around the forest, looking for any sign of her.

She couldn’t have just been a figment of his imagination…she looked real. So real that she couldn’t have been a hallucination.

“Y/n/n?” he called out again, his voice breaking slightly as he did so; his eyes filling with tears with every second he continued to look for her.

He had nearly given up all hope of finding her, until he heard a twig snap.

He took a deep breath and headed in the direction that he heard the noise.

“Y/n/n..” he breathed, his eyes meeting her all too familiar y/e/c orbs.

“Steve…” she whispered back, the tears falling down her cheeks as she launched herself at him, her arms wrapping around his neck, holding tightly onto him like he was about to vanish.

“Are you real?” he asked quietly, instinctively wrapping his arms around her waist, holding her just as tightly as she was holding him.

“Are you…?” she questioned, pulling away slightly just to look at the person she never thought she’d see again.

“I’m real,” Steve reassured, raising one of his hands to her face, caressing her cheek softly.

He knew he should ask her where she’d been, get the answers from her that he needed. But right now, he didn’t care about any of that.

He just cared that she was here; in his arms.

“I’ve missed you so much,” he mumbled, trying to stop the tears from falling from his own eyes as his heart swelled with relief.

It was at that moment he realized how close they were to one another; how close their lips were…

His eyes glanced up at hers as his lips edged closer to hers, silenting asking permission to close the gap between them.

Shyly, Y/n nodded, heat rising to her cheeks as he captured her lips in a kiss.

It was the type of kiss Y/n had never experienced before; one of longing passion. One that made the butterflies in her stomach flutter in a frenzy, her heart pounding against her chest in a similar rhythm to Steves.

Neither of them knew it, but they had both dreamed of this moment; both of them until this point, were completely unaware of one anothers feelings for each other.

But it was clear to see how much they loved each other from this kiss. Neither of them knew how long they were in the forest, kissing, nor did either of them care.

They just wanted to enjoy this moment.
