#button up

LIVE

This outfit was so much fun to shoot and I absolutely love the outcome. I paired this thrifted button up blouse with my favorite cobalt blue plaid pants from Free People to keep the look light and then added black accessories, a dog shaped purse, chunky Fila sneakers, and a tube top, to make it more of a grungy feel.

The official kick-off to Fall happens this weekend, and as sad as we are to see Summer go, we know there’s good things in store. Pumpkin drinks, warm get-togethers, and of course, the changing fashion (probably our favorite part.)

So to embrace the season in full-swing, we’re releasing Senior Style Advisor Jay Alexander’s Must-Have Fall Trends these next few weeks.

The first one we’re highlighting is called Facing West, and although the west can be wild, we’re here to show you the best ways to wear this awesome trend.

A modern take on Western Wear swept the fall/winter 204 runways and will invade the streets this year. Flowing fringe, rugged turquoise and antiqued studs are standout style statements for women’s and men’s apparel, footwear and accessories.

Our recommendation is, as always, to incorporate key pieces into your wardrobe rather than making it all about the trend itself. Make the focus about your shoes and your jewelry and keep the rest of the outfit neutral so that the accents really pop. For the guys, a bright shirt combined with some kickin’ boots will keep you on trend and looking rugged.

We can’t wait to rock this trend all Fall and Winter! Giddy-Up!

For how obsessed I am with pantyhose, there aren’t nearly enough posts of them on my blog.  That needs to change.  So here we go…..  One of my favorite colors of pantyhose is exactly these.  Not only black, but this exact opacity and denier of fabric, along with its shine.  Almost opaque, but not, giving the light of the skin tone underneath an ethereal glow and smoky hue.  So inviting and alluring.  It’s hard to look away, especially as the leg muscles are slightly flexed from the high heels and the pose.  And then to see curvy strong legs like these, pumping back and forth as they walk down the street with the sun hitting the perfect pantyhose…..it’s a vision to die for.
