Unfortunately I come with terrible news. I would like to clarify that I’m not Day (pain-somnia), this is Max (byakugcu) posting this for them. They had asked me to post this the other day before they needed to take their social media break as I still have access to these accounts even though I have no involvement with any projects mentioned. My access to these accounts come from setting them up for Irene and Day and nothing more. I am aware of the info below due to being mutuals with both and being in the same Discord server as them.
Despite the fact that they payed out of pocket for the 2021 calendars they will be unable to ship them out to those that haven’t gotten them. They apologise that they couldn’t fulfil the project and instead will be refunding everyone.
The calendar project began in April 2019 by another mod, Irene (saradacchi) as her own solo project with her own selection of people.
At the time Day was beginning another zine, Quantum (put on hiatus in January 2020, later canceled in late 2020) and did not want to get involved but given their previous work with the Seasons Zine, helped Irene out. Even though they were not a real mod, Irene was getting Day to write posts for her throughout the year on the blog. Moreover, Irene added Day onto the contributor graphic for no reason other than aesthetics. As Irene disappeared in December, the management of the calendar fell onto them. Below are the final messages between Day and Irene about Irene’s disappearance and Day not receiving merch from her.
Throughout Irene’s disappearance, managing the project became increasingly difficult for Day and later on funding had to come out of their own pocket. From December 2019 and throughout 2020, Day became very sickly and unable to leave their home for their own safety.
In November to December 2020, Day had sent out a few of the calendars out to customers which was made more difficult considering they had no access to any social accounts including email, Twitter or Tumblr which meant they had no access to customer details.
However, in January 2021, a member of Day’s family contracted COVID which made the situation extremely difficult for them to ship out the calendars due to their own health concerns. Presently, they intend to refund everyone.
Again I’m sorry and this account will now be inactive. Additionally, any questions in replies is something I can’t answer and Day can’t come online to answer questions.
Sorry for the late response, I cannot say when things will be shipped out. But items will be shipped out this month toward the end, because it’s more merch than just the calendars. Buyers will be handed partial refunds from my own pocket because unfortunately there was no profit just enough to make the items.
The delay was because of the pandemic but mostly because I was actually bedridden for weeks before the quarantine and the main mod on the project ghosted me and the participants and so I had to try and get all of the merch myself during that time. I thought the main mod was doing what they were supposed to while I was sick and out of commission for a couple of months, but it turns out that they weren’t and I should have made sure about that.
Again, I’m sorry for the delay and for the late response.
Sorry for the silence but there had been many set backs (personal and merch related) but at last all of the calendar merch has arrived so we will be packing everything up and shipping them out this weekend.
For US orders there will be no issues as packages only take 3 days max to arrive at their homes, but for international orders we will be upgrading shipping as much as we can so that bundles arrive as soon as possible.
Again, sorry for the delays but we can’t wait until everyone gets these beautiful calendars.

COQUEREL’S SIFAKA is a type of lemur that can only be found in Madagascar. They are vegetarian creatures (like me!) that love eating leaves, but also like fruits, flowers, bark and deadwood sometimes. They can leap as high as 30 feet thanks to their powerful legs.
Classified as endangered species, these Sifaks’ biggest threat is habitat lost from farming expansions, habitat fragmentation and hunting threats. Let’s ‘jump’ into action (because they are such good jumpers, get it?!) to protect these little guys by being conscious of our everyday choices and the impact it can make to our beautiful planet =)
BLUE WHALE, one of the largest creatures ever known to roam the Earth and yet it dwarfs in size compared to its ancestors. Sadly, researchers have shown that these filter-feeding aquatic creatures only started to binge eat when climate changed. It is an advantage developed due to run-off nutrients from melting ice caps during certain times of the year.
It is crazy to think their diet really consist of tiny krills, and a day’s worth of them roughly weighs 4 tons. These heavy weight champs themselves weight about 200 tons, that is about 33 elephants! Even though they are at the top of the food chain, heavy whaling before 1966, ship injuries and toxins in the ocean are among the top causes of its’ threatened population on top of climate change.
I would hope to see their beauty one day and many generations after us too may have the honor. I dream to even just hear their whistle, which is can be heard hundreds of miles away.
This adorably freckled little bovine is called SAOLA, or Asian Unicorn, is a rarely seen creature since its discoveries two decades ago. It was then one of the first large mammal discovered in more than 50 years . None in captivity and only maybe few hundred or few dozen of them in the wild. Their horns can grow up to 20inches for both male and female. Cousins to cattle but most resemble an antelope.
Traps set up for crops or other animals can often accidental catch and harm these critically endangered creatures. Deforestation and habitat lost is of course another one of those reasons they are having a hard time surviving. They are only found in the mountains of Laos and Vietnam, which is already one of the most beautiful yet “endangered and significant” ecosystem on earth.
