#sasusaku
Sasuke: *on the phone* Just snap his kneecaps and he’ll talk, I’m at a parent teacher conference.
Sasuke: Anyways, you said Sarada is enjoying finger painting! That’s great.
kiss kiss fall in love~
Oop I ship SasuSaku now. XD it’s kinda messed up but I tried my best lol.
there’s just something about Sasuke saying “my wife” when refering to Sakura that won me over
Does anyone else like watching the progression of ship names and conventions and how they change depending on the fandom? Like, for instance, in anime, you often use the first one or two syllables of the characters name and put them together so: kiribaku, sasusaku, etc.
But then an OLD anime, specifically yaoi fandom, convention was to use the order to indicate the “seme” (top) and “uke” (bottom. my GOD the fact that I can remember this smh), so sasunaru or narusasu.
And then in western fandom, you used to have a slash, so luke/leia, kirk/spock, which of course, gave rise to the slashfandom name. Because people would say “I like x slash y, you know, as a relationship”. Then, for a long time you’d often have a portmanteau of two characters names, depending on if there was a similarity between them, typically at the vowel: spirk, klance, destiel, sterek. But NOW it’s gravitating more towards mashing the whole name or a nickname together: deancas, sambucky.
But then, you can also get really fandom-specific naming conventions, like Invader Zim, with ZaDR or ZaDF where the ship name was an acronym for the characters involved, and the relationship style, romance or friendship in this case.
And of course, it’s all very fluid, so you’ll see all of these naming conventions (and more!) mixing and matching through different fandoms and times.
also, if you were a Yu-Gi-Oh stan…you remember that there were literally 3000 ships and they all ended in -shipping (puzzleshipping, thiefshipping, etc) and all of the names had a significant connection to the characters involved. it was truly an art form back then.
Back on my bullshit!
Imagine Kizashi judging the Uchihas on how they dad. Shachi and Haruka are floating and judging right along side him.
Kizashi: *side eyeing Fugaku who is comparing Sasuke’s achievements to Itachi again* He realizes he has two different sons right? Like they’re their own person. Sasuke is still a brilliant kid with a bright future career as a shinobi. So what if he isn’t advancing as fast as Itachi, as the old saying goes slow and steady wins the race.
Shachi: *lets out a tired huff* Sadly they get it from Indra.
Haruka: We’re hoping to have that stick mostly out of Sasuke’s ass by the time he realizes he’s in love with Sakura. At least then we can get him trained early on how to dad. Maybe we’ll break the cycle.
Sakura: *pretending not hear but she’s also lowkey judging and plotting on how to train Sasuke to be better for their future children.*
So there’s this post floating around that Sakura got put on team 7 to instill a rivalry between Sasuke and Natuto. So like fair everyone knew that Naruto liked Sakura and Sakura liked Sasuke.
But that makes Sasuke the wild card. Which could still potentially work to be honest. But if you want to install a rivalry via a girl you would ideally want BOTH boys to be interested in her and for Sakura to be the wild card even if she has a preference.
So did the Academy instructors know something before everyone else??? Do they do this often? Did they have a bet when they make these teams? Who was shipping sasusaku and who was shipping narusaku? How much money did these instructors win when naruhina got married and sasusaku came back from their travels with a baby? What happened to the pot if Sakura ended up rejecting both boys?
Was Kakashi allow to bet or did he have to ref since he was their genin sensei?
I have too many questions, mostly stupid, on this now and need answers damn it!
Apparently enough ninja couples in Konoha start off on the same genin team that the instructors nake certian groups based off potential matchmaking.
