I’ve noticed a lot of discussion of the KotOR 1 remake over whether Revan should be able to actually spare Malak. I can see the argument, as Revan got a second chance, Malak probably deserves one too.
However, I think Revan should be able to spare Malak so she can go back to emotionally tormenting the man. A real pick-up-where-she-left-off situation. It’s what he deserves.

I had a conversation with one of my friends about KOTOR he says, “Oh my god, I completely hate the guy character… what’s his name? The whiny one?”
“Carth?” I reply.
“Yes, him.”

I left Carth at the apartment on Taris for a quick run to the Undercity and proceeded to gain 3 Dark Side points in a row. Whoops.
(Apparently Iraph makes better decisions when he’s around, even though they spend their time bickering like children.)

Been playing Knights of the Old Republic (hands down two of the best games I’ve ever played) so here’s Mission and Zaalbar + Carth with my Lady Revan, she goes by Asari Edo n I love her w all my heart

Summary:Carth Onasi is a soldier, used to operating within rules and regulations, serving a higher cause. Velire Orinn is a scoundrel, used to living by her wits, free from authority. In order to find the lost Padawan Bastila Shan, they have to put aside their differences—but as they descend into Taris’s lawless Lower City, it may not be enough.

His skin crawled with revulsion as he struggled into the black body glove, and not just because it wasn’t properly sterilised. The disguise was necessary, he knew, but that didn’t change the fact he was donning the uniform of the enemy. It also didn’t help that the underlay was too tight in the shoulder and too loose in the torso. Still, the familiarity of suiting up settled him into a pre-mission focus. There was only so much variety armour manufacturers could inject into their designs, so it was easy enough to figure out how the silver plastoid plates fit together. A soft click informed him that the pieces were correctly affixed and the suit was sealed from the neck down.
Rolling his shoulders, Carth took a few experimental steps. It was more restrictive than the Republic combat suits he favoured, and he already knew from engagements with Sith troopers that running would be problematic. At least he’d managed to clean off the worst of the blood and blaster scoring. He was fiddling with the environmental controls hidden in the midsection when he heard a muted thump from the ‘fresher.
Carth tapped on the door. “Everything all right in there?”
“I’m fine!”
“If you need a hand with anything—”
“I said I’m fine!” Despite ten centimetres of plasteel separating them, Velire’s irritation made it through loud and clear. That woman had the tender ego of a wounded ronto.
When you hit the end of all the current dialogue, but you still wanna chat, y’know???

Ah, the days of scanning in the lineart and then coloring it digitally. I flipped things so it’d look more like the in-game conversations, with your character on the right.

I love the scene right after the crew escapes, when everything comes out and they’ve gotta deal with the revelations.
Posteda version of this a few years ago, but was never fully happy with it, so… revamp!

Knights of the Old Republic (Hour 17): Carth’s request
Well, all this flirting has gotten real.
What makes this moment work for me is, they’ve already established that he knows she can handle herself — the conversation right before this, he calls her skills “incredible.” And if you ask him what he’s even supposed to do, he admits he’s nothing special. This isn’t some macho posing.
This is, for years he thought his only remaining purpose was to give his life in the service of vengeance. It’s that something about this entire situation feels very wrong, and he’s the only one that seems to be worried about that. So now—if it’s ok with her—he’d like to put his paranoia to use and have her back. She’s worth it.
