03/October/2017. Catalonia today.

If you follow this blog or have been paying attention to the news, you will know that the Spanish military police tried to stop the Catalan independence referendum by using violence against the voters, including throwing elder people down the stairs and jumping over them, shooting rubber bullets (which are illegal in Catalonia btw) at voters and even at nurses trying to help wounded people reach an ambulance, getting clothes off girls and throwing them to the floor naked while laughing, graing women by their hair and dragging them out f the voting center while kicking them, etc. Over 800 Catalan people were hurt for trying to vote.

Today, to protest police brutality carried out and defended by the Spanish government, there has been an “aturada de país” which means we stopped the country. Practically all businesses have closed, and about 60 highways have been cut (including the border with France) by citizens playing chess or cards in the middle of the road. The economy is stopped and thousands of people are protesting on the streets. Many people also used the day to go bring flowers to the schools that were violently assaulted by the Spanish police.

Reblog it now please, I don’t know why but I typed 08 instead of 03, but I’ve fixed it!

What about that huge demonstration against independance there was yesterday? The referundum was rigged anyway but tumblr won’t care because all he want to see is spanish police brutality!

Yep, you’re right. We should also talk about the demonstration against Catalan independence that there was yesterday (October 8th) in Barcelona.

14 far-right wing organisations such as La Falange, Vox, Plataforma per Cataluña, etc (all known for their fascism) asked their followers to demonstrate in Barcelona. Many buses full of neo-nazis cames from all over Spain to help their anti-independentist friends in Catalonia.

These right wing organisation got some international support as well. People such as David Duke (ex-leader of the Ku Klux Klan) have showed their support to a united Spain.

The international media is horrified at the huge amount of nazi salutes in the anti-independence demonstration. But hey, some good news: since the president of Catalonia is not Artur Mas anymore, the anti-independentists are not using “Artur Mas a la cámara de gas” (“Artur Mas to the gas chamber”) as their slogan anymore!

Interesting how the Spanish police didn’t intervene when these neo-nazis attacked some South American people in the subway, huh? Meanwhile, we Catalans got violently attacked while just trying to vote.

Oh btw, not only did the Spanish police not do anything to stop the nazi salutes, but they showed their support to the demonstration by waving Spanish flags. Literally.

Lastly, as a Catalan independentist, I’d like to send a message to all these people who came to demonstrate against independence yesterday: thank you for affirming my ideals. You are the kind of people we Catalans want to get away from. Stay out, and don’t come to visit us again. Goodbye.

And as of today, Pablo Casado (politician of the PP, the governing party at Spain right now) as said that Puigdemont “might end up like someone else who declared the Catalan State 83 years ago”, in reference to Lluis Company, ex-president of the Generalitat who was jailed and executed during Franco’s dictatorship. Such a subtle and charming man this Casado, yeah? Whatever your opinions are about the current situation and Puigdemont’s compentence, making a blasé reference to a fascist execution like that is disgusting, in my opinion.
