littlebynight:

how to help your little regress!

baby talk to them! this always makes me feel super duper small!

make them feel like a learning baby! ask them questions like, ‘what colour is this?’

call them ‘baby’ names! ‘little one’, ‘baby’, etc.

ask them if they want to be small! “is my baby feeling little?” or “do you need to regress?”

help them with things! tie their shoes, help them put on their jacket, help them reach something… say things like, “you’re too little for that, let me help you.”

do ‘small’ activities with them! bring out a colouring book for them, watch their favourite baby show with them, etc.

praise them! this isn’t particularly a ‘little’ thing, but it always makes me feel small when my daddy says things like, “good job, baby!” maybe add in some things like, “i’m proud of you!” or “you did so good!”

tell them you want to take care of them! when my daddy can tell i need to regress, he says things like, “daddy needs to take care of his baby” and “daddy misses his little one”

cuddle them! snuggles with your cg will make any little feel safe, loved, and small <3

rock them! rock your little in your arms, just a bit, and it may help them feel small! it’s very comforting for me, especially when im having a bad day.

carry them places! when they are sleepy is the best time to do it — carry them to bed and tuck them in, or carry them just for fun! bounce them when you’re holding them for an added bonus ! :•)

pour them drinks and cut up their food for them! it makes me feel so small when daddy’s prepared a snack for me and poured some juice in a sippy cup.

make them ‘baby’ snacks! baby carrots, chicken nuggets, grilled cheese, sliced apples…these snacks are the best for making a little one feel small and special!
