Story Summary: Everyone needs a sanctuary, a place where you can rest, lay down your head, and be at peace. The GAR needs this more than most. Luckily, the Investigation Squad has a friend who is willing to provide just that. Their resident Caf Lady, Arashy Grendel has a couch well-suited for napping, a shelf stocked with calming tea, ears good for listening, and arms made for hugging. And her friends in the Investigation Squad make frequent use of all she has to offer.

I’ve introduced most of these guys on my blog already, but I wanted to show the complete “set” all together in their digital form. The five lads in the Nebula Squad were batch mates since Kamino, and are under the command of Beak. I haven’t introduced Beak yet, but all you need to know is he got his name after being punched in the nose by another cadet, causing it to break severely. He embraced the crooked formed, even tattooing a “bandage” to represent the incident. He never smiles, and is the textbook definition of a stick in the mud.
Anyways, I just wanted to share them with you. They’re my lads and I love them very much
In one of his first battles, a grenade went off right next to him
He survived, but the heat from the explosion caused part of his helmet to melt into his skin, damaging the left side of his face as well as his ear
He’s a little hard of hearing now
One day an angry captain was yelling at him
“Are you deaf trooper!”
Quite fed up with this, he snapped back
“That’s right sir, Def! Def is my name sir! What can I do for you sir!”
The captain did not appreciate this, but his surrounding brothers did
He listens to orders the best out of everyone, but that doesn’t stop him from trolling others when the opportunity presents itself
He doesn’t have much of an opinion on the war. Is he bitter about his injury? A little, but hey, that’s the cost of battle. Could have been worse. And hey, least I got a cool scar out of it!
