Partly because it’s not as much fun, and partly because the first time I hopefully said what I wanted. An old colleague and friend from my days at DreamWorks asked a great question about color harmonies and how all colors might tie together in regards to this piece posted yesterday in another style and it got me thinking about how to achieve what he was talking about- see the comments yesterday. I repainted this image as I would a plein air, using a more impressionist approach to the color ideas. Not sure if it’s better or worst but it was fun b/c this approach allows for so much color buildup. On to something new.
