I’ve had two great years (2015-2017) with a New York magazine @w42st designing their monthly #infographic about NY culture. I loved challenging myself every time to create something new - color wise, #illustration wise, style wise, #typography wise…All drawn by hand in Adobe Illustrator and then put together in Adobe Photoshop. I loved the freedom the Editor in Chief, amazing Ruth Walker, was giving me to explore whatever inspired me at the moment. Of course, I took a lot of inspiration from #NYC itself, especially from #HellsKitchen where I lived at that time. I had someone recently wanting to buy the whole collection ❤️ and #Uber office contacted me in 2017 and commissioned me to make an oversized poster for their office based on my infographic dedicated to #HudsonYards featuring the old and new #landmarks of the area. Hello again, everybody! I’m so sorry if I’ve been MIA for quite some time. But I’m back with a new WIP for the @emimikezine, curated by the hardworking @dettsu.
Just to recap: for the zine, I’m creating an assassin-slash-music school AU artwork wherein Mickey is a assassin-slash-classical violinist who gets involved with his schoolmate Emil Nekola, a jazz saxophonist. (Lol my apologies if the saxophone is inaccurately illustrated. I had a hard time with it.)

EmiMike Exchange 2017 | A Gift for @lovelyisthenight
To quote the great Britney Spears, “ It’s been a while. I know I shouldn’t have kept you waiting. But I’m here now.” I’m here with some new EmiMike/MichEmil art for @emimikeweek‘s Exchange in celebration of our darling Czech boy’s birthday.
I made this artwork for @lovelyisthenight. I tried to mash her three requests (flower crowns, kisses, and cuddling) in one artwork. The one thing that inspired me to make this concept was the flower crowns, granted that I hardly illustrate anything from nature. This proved to be a bit of a challenge, but I enjoyed doing this artwork nonetheless. I hope she enjoys it too.
