Crossing The Pass
Don’t think too badly of Wendy about being impressed by a mountain pass. Not counting plane flights, she’s never been farther east than Lake Washington.
Dielle is referring to an unknown episode of her cross country trip to Homestead. While she’s most likely exaggerating, don’t expect to get anymore details out of her.
First Break
Barring a few… complications getting there, the band’s first gig on this road trip has gone quite all right so far. Of course, they’ve only gotten past the first set. Who knows what could happen in the next two hours?
Look who’s back! We last saw Gabriella here. She doesn’t seem happy.
the idea that ten years before TOS they had the technology to alter species genomes so they could blend in on a planet but kirk just made spock where silly hats everywhere for no reason is very funny actually

#i wish I could find it funny but thoses retcons and continuity errors are the stuff of NIGHTMARES for me#sorry Im a continuity nerd I can’t help it#god dammit strange new world you’re off to a pretry good start but STOP DOING THAT#snw#snw spoilers
Some of these things aren’t hard to explain away. In this case, the genome therapy worked so poorly on Spock that obviously they’d never bother with it again for him.
But I really think at this point there’s nothing we can do but acknowledge that every time-travel into the past causes at least a minor variation in history/time and these discrepancies are unavoidable and are now true continuity. I-Chaya dies? Koloth’s voice changes. The Narada goes back in time? Kirk’s eyes on the branch timeline are blue. The Xindi attack Earth as part of a temporal cold war from five hundred years on? Services branch color was always red and never bronze. Sisko and Bashir accidentally get Gabriel Bell killed? Koloth’s voice changes back. Gillian Taylor comes back to the future? The Guardian of Forever can take human form. McCoy’s phaser takes out a bum? T’Pring and Chapel are besties now. It’s time to roll with the changes.
Continuity alarm! First mutant to die for Xavier? Technically that’s the original Changeling.
