Much like last week, I stumbled across a bit of nostalgia from the beginning of my career. Along with graphic design, I used to build websites for my small business clients. And, much in the same manner I do now, I tried to provide value to each of them. My partner, Corey, and I developed a website that tried to reflect this.

And, out of curiosity, I Googled it. To my amazement, Corey still had the site uploaded to his online portfolio, even though he no longer really maintains his website any more. After a surreal, nostalgic browse around the site, I thought I would share it with you. The amazing part, to me, is the amount of vanity we both had in creating the site. We felt that using our pictures everywhere was beneficial to our marketing. However, we didn’t just use our picture (as you will find we did on Visceral Concepts), we attempted to create a “rockstar” image for ourselves. Here’s my favorite example.

In case any of you were wondering, I’ve been in this industry for about a decade now. I’ve seen trends come and go, and I’ve participated in a few of them myself. I’ve worked with all sorts of companies that had all kinds of needs, and I’ve watched a few of these companies grow, while others have faded away. I’ve worked solo and I’ve had partners. However, all through the years, I have striven…
