khalil awawdeh is still not free. ahmad manasra is still not free. israa jaabis is still not free. countless innocent people imprisoned without trial are still not free.

Israel has murdered another child on Friday, zaid ghnaim

Israel is still suppressing journalists because they don’t want people to know about how depraved they are. threatening them with arrest.

Palestinians are being arrested en masse to protect ultra nationalist Israelis who want to see us “shipped off to a refugee camp in Jordan” or killed in a “second nakba”.

There’s violent disgusting Islamophobic and racist vitriolic garbage all over twitter courtesy of zionists. and im just at my limit.

I’m tired. im just exhausted.

Firstly, a disclaimer:

NO, I do not condone violence in real-world relationships.

NO, being hit in real life is not a sign someone really loves you.

NO, a bruise is absolutely NOT a kiss IRL (unless in the context of sane, safe and consensual BDSM, not the gross fake Fifty Shades kind, or a consensual hickey).

However, because of the history of homosexuality on-screen - as prohibited, repressed, and often, therefore, signalled covertly via cinematic metaphor - in the world of the sliver screen, violence between men has often been used as a substitute for other kinds of (more forbidden) touch.

Remember Barbara Kruger’s on-point political art?

In his article, “Masculinity, The Male Spectator and the Homoerotic Gaze” (1998) American Studies Vol 48.4., Patrick Schukmann argues as follows:

“Opinions on abortion have been remarkably resistant to change for the past 50 years. The antiabortion movement’s attempt to convince the public that abortion is murder was a failure, and that likely won’t change in the post-Roe world. Conservatives know that perfectly well. But the whole point of building the apparatus of minority rule was for moments like this. You don’t have to twist the system in knots and eliminate democratic accountability to do popular things. You do it to stop popular things you don’t like, enable yourself to do things the public doesn’t want, and hold on to power no matter what. every state, so 40 million Americans in California, most of them Democrats, get the same representation as 580,000 Americans in Wyoming, most of them Republicans. That is then levered into the electoral college, which is why the past two Republican presidents took office despite having lost the popular vote. That (plus unprecedented ruthlessness in refusing to allow a Democratic president to fill an open seat) gets you a conservative Supreme Court supermajority — appointed by presidents who lost the popular vote, confirmed by GOP senators who represent a national minority — enacting a conservative legal revolution the public never asked for.”

Minority rule is the reason Roe v. Wade is dead

I wish all Republicans a very pleasant die in a fire.

I wish a Democrats a very pleasant grow a motherfucking spine. I wish white women a very pleasant wake the fuck up. I wish conservatives of color a not-so-pleasant die in a fire. I wish…

I wish Strip Search Sammy Alito a highly unpleasant somebody’s right getting deeply rooted in his history. (This might hurt a little, but it’s something you’ll get used to. Relax, and fade away…)

All the more proven by these tweets from the POTUS himself. This is the man that represents your country before the rest of the world. Something needs to change and it needs to happen now.

-Hungry Ghosts part 2-

Part 1

A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away…

> Anthem plays

> Mandalore restored! After decades of turmoil, Mand’alor the Unifier brings order to the lawless Outer Rim under the New Mandalorian Republic.

>Although his people prosper, Mand’alor Djarin has declined to join the New Republic under the leadership of Prime Minister Organa, choosing to pursue a policy of strict isolationism.

End of Part 2
Notes:

-  Mandalorian Sign Language was inspired the AMAZING deaf Din Djarin AU “The Theory of Harmony” by @r0b0tb0y.  My version of MSL is based on New Zealand SL and US military signs. Most Mandos only know combat-related signs and few are fluent speakers.

- the tattoos on Jambe Shrike’s chin are inspired by ta moko . The lines look simple, but they are actually comprised of hundreds of microscopic designs unique to the individual.

- the Fantail ships are named after my 2nd favourite bird. They are fast and acrobatic, similar to their namesake.

its-not-a-pen:

commentary time!

I’ve always been very sympathetic towards the monsters in monster stories, so this is a kind of deconstruction of the “beast on the loose” trope. the beast is acting in self defence, its captors are the real monsters. it was also inspired by the aftermath of the Maul-way Hall Massacre. (rest in pieces you brave troopers UnU)

Im especially proud of this bc i challenged myself to tell the main plot points without dialogue and im so happy everyone got it!!!

1. the Mandalorian Patrol
These guys are recycled versions of my old OCs , who were bounty hunters. I like to think they had a career change under Mand’alor Djarin :) their banter added some levity to an otherwise dark story and the humanizing element increased the danger and tension.

2. Mando-cam

my interpretation of the HUD in Mando helmets. It has scope, vitals monitoring, infra-red, night vision, video recording and bio-detectors that pick up on organic material…like blood.

3. the beast

Jambe sees a dark cell with an empty shackle. Up until this point, she has been led to believe there is an animal on the loose, but then the lights come on and we see the truth: the walls are covered with tally marks. the beast is a sentient creature held against it’s will. this marks a turning point in the narrative.

A lot of people have asked me if the baby is a Maul clone, and tbh I’m not sure. The story is still building in my brain so I’ve deliberately kept it ambiguous. The adult zabrak was being used to supply additional genetic material and…testing

4. The escape

The zabrak broke his teeth trying to chew through the chain (you can see it on the ground, and when he opens his mouth) so he chewed off part of his own heel instead. It’s symbolic of the child being his “achilles heel”. The backstory is the big guy discovered the little guy was being transferred to a different facility and decided they would escape together, or die trying.

5. Anyways heres wonderwall

without the Ominous Lighting the jars of little mutant zabs are actually super cute. they’re just little jellybeans!!! my favourite one is top left, with 2 heads.

6. the cloning machine, which the big guy destroyed in a fit of rage.

After Kamino was destroyed they’ve really had to DIY it. This is just a bacta tank hooked up to life-support. no wonder they got so many rejects. Plus, I heard Zabraks are difficult to clone. (Headcanon by @vaders-georg ).

7. the revelation
Not only is the beast intelligent, he also has a heart and it’s right there in his arms.

the little guy’s stripes are based off the lian pu from beijing opera. the big guys’ stripes are based off a tabby cat’s which are characterised by a “bulls eye” on their flanks and an “M” on their forehead.
