Reblog of an old post for my newer followers.
I really enjoyed creating this tattoo of a poem by the great Sufi mystic and my favourite poet, Hafiz (aka Hafez). The design was done as a mirror reflection that is popular in Persian calligraphy designs. I incorporated ornamental illumination details found in 15th century scrolls.
