My gift to Allen is having Nea leave his body and Allen getting to pick Nea’s new body.

He chose a small kitten. It just made sense. Allen adopts Nea and allows the cat to accompany him (since Nea gets lonely)

As badly as we all want it, I doubt Allen could just terminate Nea and his memories. He just had to put him somewhere else.
