it’s such a completely inconsequential detail, but this scene has always cracked me up a little because conan asks for songs that start with “Si La So La”, and then the guy who’s supposed to have perfect pitch responds by whistling the song a key lower in “La So Fa So”
A funny way for the Gosho Boys to meet would be if Kaito and Shinichi get themselves in trouble and Heiji and Saguru show up at the same time to save them, look at each other, and go:
“Did your stupid best friend get himself kidnapped too?”
They proceed to bond over keeping their dumb@** friends alive and start meeting up as a group.
Kaito almost has a heart attack about being surrounded by the greatest detectives in the modern age.
My name is Mac, and I’m the admin of the 2022 Kaishin Big Bang event!
This year’s event is the fourth (!!) round of the Kaishin Big Bang. It is a reverse-style bang in which artists sign up first, and it is focused on the relationship between Kudou Shinichi and Kuroba Kaito in all its varying forms.
I am putting out this survey to help determine the direction of this year’s bang. Among the questions, there are inquiries about opinions on writer requirements and whether or not there will be an optional theme this year, as well as a section for potential theme suggestions.
You can find some more information about the event on the faq page. The schedule is also up for perusal.
The survey will be accepting responses from MARCH 27 to APRIL 2.

Works can be posted to Tumblr and/or the AO3 Collection between Sunday February 27 and Saturday March 5.
Posting to Tumblr: please use the tag #dcmkkseopc22 and be sure to @ the blog in the body of the post!
Posting to AO3: be sure to post to the collection, dcmkkse_oneprompt22. If you like, you can also use the tag dcmkkseopc22 in the additional tags section of your work.
If you don’t have either, you may submit your work to the blog.
You may not post your works earlier than February 27. Works posted after March 5 will not be reblogged or added to the collection, so be sure to get them posted on time! If I’ve missed a post, feel free to shoot me a message with the link to your work.
February 15 is the day that the OTW (Organization for Transformative Works) annually celebrates all things fanworks! The theme this year is Fandom Classic - that fanfic that helped define the fandom for you or that you consider to be essential reading!
DCMKKSE itself is not hosting any special events for IFD, but i am a big fan of uplifting fanworks creators and celebrating fanworks, so I want to include some ways you can participate just in case this is the first time you’ve heard of it!
There are a ton of ways to interact with IFD over on AO3, such as suggesting your favorite fandom classic or taking part in games and discussions. AO3 also recommends making your own rec lists! If you make your own posts to celebrate, be sure to use the tag #IFD2022!
We are officially halfway through this event’s creation period! As of today we have 24 participants in the server aiming to post during the posting period!
If you are itching to participate, you can do so without any sign-ups! Just submit your work to the AO3 Collection between February 27 and March 5!

DCMKKSE’S One Prompt Challenge prompt is…
“I won’t be good company.” “Doesn’t matter.”
You can interpret this any way you like, create any trope you like, in any genre you like as long as the base rules of the blog are followed. If you want, you can even make several works based on this prompt! There is no limit to how much you can do, and no minimum requirement.
There is a discord server attached to this blog for participants of events hosted by @dcmkkaishinevents and by @kaishinbigbang. It’s not required, but if you want to join the server, please send me a message or an ask off anon with your full discord handle (ie: kaishin#1412) to receive an invite. This invite is only for folks who participate in events, so please don’t ask for an invite if you are not planning to participate to the end.

DCMKKSE recently ran an interest check to see which new events folks might be interested in participating in, and the winner was a One-Prompt Challenge! What better way to start a new year than with a new event!
What is a One-prompt Challenge? A One-prompt Challenge (OPC) is where one prompt is given and participants create a work based on their interpretation of the prompt. There will be no requirements, and this is an open event, meaning there are no sign-ups, no check-ins, and no submissions.
The only thing people need to do is create a work and post it to either Tumblr or the AO3 collection during the event’s posting week.
What are the requirements? As mentioned above there are no requirements for creation. Any work is welcome, from drabbles to longfic, baking, cosplay, sketches and comics!
Joining the discord will also not be required, but if you’d like to, please message me your full discord handle off anon for an invite. (For current server members, please shoot me a message in questions if you’d like the OPC role and access to the OPC section of the server).
