Hi folks, here with another accumulative update!

Now where to begin..?

As of recently or the past month and before kinda, I’ve had a good friend of mine 8bit or Bart as I otherwise call him join us on the project for Ressurflection! He’s a smort little bean and who excels in a lot of the logical groundwork such as the math, formulas and coding tweaks of things that need doing as well as a pretty good writer! Plus he makes for a very soft cushion to land on and beat up ;)

Most of the work or works that have been going on behind the scenes can be summed up as a lot of animations, animations and more animations plus a lot of battle, battle and more battle work! There’s been countless edits and improvements to the game as a whole that I believe screenshots will do it better to showcase.

Progress is really coming along, with most of the groundwork there, there are just some very important battle bugs that need squashing such as targeting allies/enemies and the menu commands/list not populating/refreshing properly as two of the more notable.

Skills are also being worked on for the characters both visual, action sequencing and the sound part of it, it’s really all coming together as one neat little package!

Give it a month or two and we’ll have the demo ready hopefully!

Hehehehehe!

Until next time!

Hey fellas! It’s been a while!

Plaga and I have had a hell of a year, I got laid off, rolling with a lot of punches, all that jazz. Anyways, long story short, we’re looking at getting some more frequent content going on here!

You guys have been asking quite a bit so I’d like to touch base really quick: We do plan to monetize eventually, so expect a Patreon to get development on this and our subsequent projects to appear eventually. Before that, though, we’d like to add a little bit more and polish what we’ve got to really kick it off on the right foot.

Thanks for sticking with us through all this, we’ve got big plans ahead for this project and beyond if you’ll have us! Feel free to keep the questions and messages rolling in, it’s always great to hear back from you! We’ll be dribbling out content and concept art soon, so keep an eye on this space!

Hey fellas, Witty here. Quick addendum to my post yesterday about getting the project set up on other platforms.

The good news is, it looks like we’re set up on Linux (Ubuntu, at least) now too. The bad news is, I’ve been doing some correspondence with a buddy testing it on OSX and he’s running into an issue on Sierra (OSX 10.12) that’s throwing a “Game not Found” issue which has become a real bugbear for me for the last day.  It’s not occurring on my test laptop running 10.11, but I’m wondering how far-reaching the issue is.

I’ve done some hunting around, seen some folks doing other GMS stuff in the same boat, and I’ve been trying to find a resolution. With luck we’ll figure something out before too long, but in any case, I can’t necessarily promise the OSX version will work without a hitch at this point.

Will (hopefully) have more details when we drop the first public build, either way.

Edit: Double good news, we got it sorted and we seem to be good to go! There just might be a few extra steps for OSX users because Apple would rather have their Sierra users believe our game is broken than let anyone run anything not acquired through Their divine, glistening app store.

Ayyy, we’re multiplatform now!

Hey guys, Witty here again, and earlier I had it mentioned to me that there were some folks aching to play on non-Windows hardware, so I dug up a 7-year old Macbook I had lying around, spent a few hours fiddling with the bugger, and lo and behold, we’re running on OS X!

This is nifty as I’d rather not fracture you guys out by platform anymore than I already need to, so going forward, assuming nothing goes horribly wrong, I’m glad to announce we’ll be targetting all machines, not just Windows ones with our projects.

I’ll see about getting something running on Linux distros in the near future as well, but either way, just wanted to let you guys know what was up!

Hey guys, Witty here.

I was talking with Plaga earlier and the subject of SFX came up. Understandably, as these projects grow we’re probably not going to want to keep them silent, so we’ve been kicking around ideas about what we want to do with the audio in our games.

It’s kind of a touchy subject given the nature of the project, but by chance, would you folks (or anyone you know) happen to want to lend their voice talents to a project like this? We’re not looking at having every single line be voiced, we’re just looking for a few quick voice bites to use between lines in conversation and some, uh, distinctly more sultry sounds to use for the minigame sequences.

We’re still figuring out the logistics of this and we do have budget to consider (obviously we don’t want anyone to work for free), so don’t take any of this as a for-sure sign of things to come, but we figured it’d be a solid idea to at least test the waters.

Anyways, if you or someone you know (or if there are any talented VAs around here you know of who take commission and don’t mind NSFW stuff, feel free to toss names our way too) is interested in sticking a voice to the girls that have appeared or might later appear in this, feel free to shoot me or Plaga a message!

Bar Crawl - Duck Waifu Edition

Hey fellas, Witty here! Haven’t posted in a hot minute, but we recently put our noses to the grindstone and smashed out a little something something for those of you who are keen on Caddy.

There’s a lot of new stuff we added and it’s probably better for you to see it yourself than for me to slap a bunch of words over it, the video demonstrates the gist, but here’s the biggest ones:

-Lots of little visual details and backend things have been cleaned up

-Dialogue system has been entirely reworked, we have a much cleaner system in place with room for branches and arbitrary script execution

-Caddy’s minigame has been implemented

In addition, there’s a lot going on under the hood that I spent the last few days working out which should make our workflow moving onto subsequent characters a lot easier as we fill this bar out, we know you’re gonna love ‘em!

Have a look!

Witty here with a quick little dev snippet!

We’re still laying down a lot of the engine foundations and stuff, but we’ve got a dialogue system in progress (which is a lot more complicated to code than I could’ve ever expected, go figure), character info boxes with scroll bars (that work with the scroll wheel, too!), and a bunch of tiny stuff in between!

(also, a small exposé on everyone’s new favorite duck waifu!)
