i tried to draw (teen) shang qinghua differently than how i usually do or picture him in my head at least. also i just realized i havnt posted many sqhs on here bc theyr all in incomplete photosets in my drafts hmmmmmmm
well anyway, i made a thread of polls on twitter deciding which characteristics to giv him playing ‘‘build an airplane’‘ with my followers lmao. the traits that won were +round +freckles +fluffy hair +half ponytail +teal so thats what i tried to draw! dunno if i hit all of them tbh!!
i hav a hard time drawing ‘’cute’’ characters which goes hand in hand with my difficulty drawing children & teenagers bc i tend to ‘’supermodel’’ everyone lmaoo. i rly want to draw cute & round ppl tho so this is practice !! also wanted to giv him bunny teeth bc i think theyr cute !!

p.s. for those of you who can read chinese if ur confused on why minh & sinh hav their names over those two characters its because its written in chữ nôm. they were born in the Lê dynasty before french colonization so would’ve used chinese characters for sino vietnamese. but its not like ik anything its an outdated writing system anyways idek if those r the right characters ajsdkhsdkj
