In the modern world, many gods have fallen due to science taking their place. But a few gods, those tho rein over timeless things, kept their power (and some even got stronger). The god of the underworld, the dead and riches, is one of them.
However, many gods kept reincarnating thanks to the immortal nature of their souls. And one day, mbj is called in haste: a god has suffered an accident and the god of death is unsure if they should collect the soul or not. Mbj gets to the site to find a small body crumpled over, and his heart stops on his throat at the sight.
He might not be able to see the face right now, but he would never forget the soul. That is his husband, the god of spring that he once lost to human greed, and had never reincarnated before. Mbj is conflicted. He should let nature run it’s course, but time and loneliness infinite made him greedy.

SQH wakes up on the hospital days later. A miracle, they said. He was the only survivor of the crash. Sqh goes home after a couple more days, with only a few scratches. He doesn’t remember the accident, but he does remember having a weird dream.
When he gets home, finally, there is someone moving in the apt next to his. But he is too tired and too full of people to notify and work to deliver, so he doesn’t think about it and goes straight to his own door. There is a thing there, a present waiting for him.
When he unwraps it, he finds that it’s a…purple crystal flower? with some gold metal details… No. It’s too pretty. Crystals are expensive and this is big. It must be some colored glass cut like a gem, with regular painted metal. A little trinket someone must’ve left for him thinking he was probably dead. But it’s beautiful and easier to take care of than his poor plants that must now be dead.
So he takes it inside -he doesn’t have time to think about that right now, either.
Mbj comes back to his new home later, to find that his beloved has taken in his present. Of course. He always loved that garden of his, and the purple sapphires were one of his favorites.
MBJ can’t avoid a smile, eager to gift him more. To get him to remember. It might take some time, but if there is something mbj has, it is time. Neither of them will be lonely anymore.
