Julian couldn’t pinpoint the exact moment when he had fallen for his Cardassian lunch partner-he just knew that it had happened quite suddenly and out of nowhere. Did Garak feel the same? he wondered. It was hard to tell. Cardassian flirtation was probably not the same as a human’s idea of it, so he shouldn’t use it as a guide in which to judge Garak’s actions by.

Until he figured out exactly how Cardassians went about flirting with one another, he just was going to have to use his old standby: his charm. Yes, Julian Bashir was going to ooze charm-it was going to seep out of his pores! He’d be the very definition of the word-why, yes, that is his picture next to the word ‘charming’ in the dictionary, thank you for noticing.
