My dnd character died (she’s back now) and it was fucking awesome:

When the party arrived in the city where Kass (my drow paladin) knew Mi (her ex) was, she just couldn’t stay away. She missed Mi and just wanted to talk. So she tracked her down and tried to talk, but Mi was still furious about Kass leaving her. Mi wanted to fight, and so they did.

I have never rolled worse in a fight, there was just nat 1 after nat 1, and Kass fell unconscious. As Mi was about to pick her up and (probably) bring her back to the order, one of Kass’ friends (Dawn) came out of the shadows and chased Mi away. Turing this time, I failed 3 death saves, and Kass was dead.

Dawn brought Kass back to the rest of the party and they managed to find a priest who could revive her, so she’s alive again now! I was also so happy as a player through the whole thing. This is exactly what I wanted from this character and more!! @sophisticationsequels is the best fucking DM ever.

The beginning of Kass and Mi’s relationship… Kass being a little shit.

Kass is from one of the big high ranking families that are favored by Lolth. Kass’ mother wanted her to become a cleric of Lolth, but Kass always loved swords way too much and wasn’t very into the whole worshiping-Lolth-thing. So she became the big disappointment of the family by becoming a paladin instead (still a little worship, yes, but also a lot more fighting and swords). While the role of a cleric is reserved for those who come from high ranking families, any woman drow can work her way up as a paladin, so it’s not as highly regarded.

Because Kass came from a nice family, the instructors and captains of the order favored her and she got things a little easier just because of her name. Mi’kaela, however, worked her way up from nothing.

Meet Phyrrin, my 5e drow bard. He was raised on the surface by his older sister, and makes his money performing nights in the city of Silverymoon. Chaotic good, worshipper of Eilistraee, bisexual, flirty as hell.

Want me to make you a character portrait like this? I do commissions starting at $10!

Idrehu - DnD Art Nouveau Commission

Idrehu is a follower of the Chaotic Good drow goddess Eilistraee, who is usually depiced dancing naked with swords in front of a full moon.

Since Idrehu is an afab nonbinary person, their player really wanted to make sure they were drawn by someone with roughly the same experience, and I am so happy that they did. I really loved getting to design a fantasy binder - I’ve taken inspiration from armour, waistcoats and from corsetry here, with the idea that this could actually be an article of clothing in the setting. (And as always, fantasy pants are always fun to try to make look not-modern, but also not-stupid.)

All the flowers in this image are night-blooming varieties, along with having the usual flower language associations, which was a lot of fun to research. My personal favourite is the Night Blooming Cereus which is forming the bottom border of the image.

The flowers are:
Top of the Wall
Night convovulus
Blue convovulus
Honeysuckle

Bottom of the Wall
Starwort
Night Gladiolus
Evening Primrose
Night flowering catch-fly
Petunia

Border element
Night blooming Cereus
Tuberose
