Seems a little random I’m sure… very different from the majority of these redesigns. But I started rewatching this anime gem and I couldn’t resist. I’ve drawn Princess Tutu (Duck) and Princess Kraehe (Rue) based on the…. let’s call it season 2 finale. I made minor adjustments to their costumes but not very many, mostly just making them more realistically functional or more ballet-costume inspired.

My part of the collab with @nyu-yang! Princess Tutu and Odin Sphere crossover, because I absolutely love both and they give off basically the same tragic fairy tale vibes? so I didn’t change much, and just gave Tutu and Fakir similar elements from Gwendolyn’s and Oswald’s (namely wings and armor). I was struggling a lot with this piece, but I feel like it paid off in the end. As you know,
“May those who follow their fate be granted happiness; may those who defy it be granted glory”

Duck has finally understood her feeling for Fakir. She mimes “I love you” to him as her way of admitting to herself her own feelings. She’s not yet ready to do it in front of him though.
Ahiru doesn’t like her her husband being so ‘rough’ with her even though he barely touched her. Unbeknownst to them her breasts are just a little tender from her pregnancy!
