Hancock’s one pet peeve with Curie is that she boils his alcohol first to make antiseptic bandages.

She reasons that cause he drinks the highest proof liquor his will go a long way

Arcade is a huge victim of nose bleed from heat, sometime when he work he doesn’t bother cleaning the blood off his face or do something to stop it except if it goes so far as to drop on stuff. Some of his notes and research paper have little drop of red. The first time Julie found him like that she thought someone had punch him in the face.

After the events of New Vegas, Veronica Santangelo leaves the Brotherhood of Steel and joins the Followers of the Apocalypse.

Christine had a wedding ring made for Veronica. She was sent away before she could propose and ask her to run away together. She still wears the matching ring on a necklace, even in the Sierra Madre.

Deacon has ADD/ADHD

MacCready, Piper, and Hancock are all for the Making Fun of Karen movement. “Okay, Karen” is definitely in their vocabulary. Deacon is kinda in it but doesn’t really bother unless he’s actually near a Karen. Same thing with Curie but somehow always comes up with perfect responses to Karens like she rehearses them.

The bar club in Goodneighbor, The Third Rail, started a karaoke night when the Sole Survivor found an intact and working machine and suggested it. Everybody loved the idea and it became rather popular, to the point where people from outside of Goodneighbor go and join.

While Danse respected and was loyal to Elder Maxson, he always liked to imagine what it’d be like to be Elder instead. He’d make different scenarios in his head in his day-to-day like, and he even had a few favorite ones to think about over and over.

Otters did not mutate from the bombs, and they are Hancock’s favourite animal for no reason at all.

If romancing was a feature in New Vegas and you have romanced a vanilla companion before heading into The Divide for Lonesome Road, they trail Courier Six and eventually catch up near the end of the road. Each of them confronts Courier Six differently for leaving behind only so much as a note saying they’ll be back soon.

Veronica shows up sucker punching some Marked Men. She initally projects an excited demeanor, but becomes teary because she was afraid of being left behind again. However, she’s honestly just happy to be reunited, also talking about all the old world technology she’s encountered. Veronica states that wherever the Courier is going, she’s there with them.

Boone shows up on a ridge above Courier Six, landing headshots on some Marked Men. Quietly he walks up and surprisingly grabs hold of their hand. He doesn’t ask questions, and simply says that they should always have someone to watch their back and goes on mumbling about how snipers are most effective in pairs. It’s really all just to cover the fact that he was very concerned about Courier Six this whole time, which he admits later.

Cass shows up blasting away some Marked Men with dynamite. Tears in her eyes, she hits Courier Six before embracing them in her arms tightly. She says they’re a reckless asshole for leaving on this dangerous journey without so much as an explanation, but she’s just glad that they’re okay. She tells them that she’d go through this hell of a road again so long as she could be there for the Courier, joking that they owe her drinks and many, many dates

Arcade shows up waiting for the Courier, with several plasma goo piles around him. He’s surprised to see Courier Six, admitting he was actually quite lost and beginning to worry he’d never get to see them again. He jokes about how miserable this whole experience was, and that the Courier now owes him an reckless adventure of his own choosing.

Raul shows up revolver(s) blazing, downing several Marked Men. He greets the Courier with a smile, and hopes the Courier Six didn’t mind him coming along for the journey. However, he never wants to be a position again where he is unable to protect someone he loves dearly. Raul tells the Courier that a Vaquero/Courier Six always needs a good partner, before they head off for the final showdown with Ulysses.

Bonus: (HC companion) Red Lucy shows up expertly and quickly blasting several Marked Men to pieces with her hunting shotgun. Interlocking arms with Courier Six, she states that a Hunters should stick together and that their love bond is more lethal than any humanoid or creature. She will be with the Courier Six through high and low, no matter the journey, and no matter how dangerous the hunt.

Synth Shaun is able to grow up but has a major identity crisis in regards to Father, specifically about the idea if he is doomed to become just like he did.

Child Shaun would grow up to be an engineer (I HC that he’s the sole 4th Gen Synth which fully replicates all human functionality similar to that previous submission), but his real passion was photography. His interest in photography stemmed from being simply amazed with haunting beauty of the outside world, and going on “journalist expeditions” with his step mother Piper who would often frame scenes with her hands and remark “Wouldn’t that’d make a great cover image?”. As an adolescent if he wasn’t repairing something, he was researching and tinkering with photograph technology restoring functionality to several cameras. In his adolescence he learned and slowly mastered the art of producing photos from film, even inventing color photography at the age of 17. The photographs he would eventually produce of Post-Great War Boston and the surrounding Commonwealth still remain in publications nearly five centuries later and still going.

After being exiled by the Brotherhood of Steel, Danse eventually joins up with the Commonwealth Minutemen at the request of the Sole Survivor. The Sole Survivor manages to convince Danse that if the Minutemen are still lacking, then he should help them improve by joining up. Danse eventually forms the Power Armor Corps branch of the Minutemen, where he recruits the best soldiers and trains them to use power armor. It is an elite unit of few, tasked with the most dangerous missions. However, like the legendary knights of old, wherever a power armor clad Minuteman appears, raiders and mutant monsters lay slain.

In Shaun’s future I see him becoming a teacher’s assistant, after all Father probably laid some groundwork for him to be a scientist (or similar occupation).

After he becomes 18 he decides to leave and become a traveling teacher, until the minutemen bring the settlements together as the Commonwealth People’s Republic. Afterwards he becomes a head lecturer at the New C.I.T at the age of 35

He dies at age 76 survived by his wife Natalie. And his three children Jane, Nora and Robert and 6 grandkids

His funeral is attended by the many people his life touched, and he is buried in a crypt built on the bulkhead of vault 111 next to his father and mother

(I HC that synths were like build a person workshop, so they have all… functionality)

the nature of Deacon and the Sole Survivor both being bisexual means that they probably fight over any Hawaiian shirts they come across

When Nat and Shaun go on a date (HC them both at 14 15 for this one) outside the walls piper has MacCready shadow them with explicit instructions.

“I know Blue raised that boy right but if he gets handsy shoot the cap off of his nuka-cola”

Piper has MacCready teach Nat how to shoot photos for Publick Occurrances, so as to be a more legitimate newspaper.

Despite being the only newspaper of worth.

Headcanons for my fave ghoul

Hey there, time for Thest to give y’all something absolutely no one asked for: my Charon headcanons!

  • He’s a softie under that gruff, bitter exterior, but everyone knows that already
  • Westerns are his thing; he was obsessed with then pre-War, and whenever he and Lone are wandering and come across books, he reads the westerns before they give them to he Brotherhood scribe at the library
  • He used to have a really good singing voice, and still doesn’t sound half-bad when he sings after being ghoulified; just a bit more rough than he used to be
  • Charon is an artist; he has a notebook that he uses just for sketching, though it hasn’t seen much use since before his employment to Ahzrukhal; once he sets off with Lone, however, he begins to fill the pages again with drawing and doodles of random things he sees

Headcanons specific to him in my fics:

  • His real name is August Randall Donovan and he was born September 7, 2048
  • Was raised by a single mother after his abusive father ran off with a waitress, got his first job working at an auto shop at 14, as he was always good with vehicles and they needed the extra income
  • Pre-War he was an army boy and he was at Anchorage I’m convinced that the person you play in the Operation: Anchorage simulation is him and no one can tell me otherwise
  • He was drafted into the army at 18, and enrolled in a special training program along with four other young men. They were assigned a contract that they were beholden to, and trained to follow every order in combat given to them by whomever held their contract. Outside of combat they were to be vigilant and protect their employers, and Codename: Charon was among the best of them, taking to the program like a natural.
  • Though a lot of his ‘brainwashing’ has worn off, he still feels the pull to follow orders, though resisting has become easier over the years
  • Secretly a huge, sentimental idiot who keeps things that Cat gives him, even something as mundane as a note saying she went out for Brahmin milk

Still can’t believe this is one of my most popular posts

What are the thoughts around commemorative awards in Fallout?

I think along with making their own ribbons/medals, the NCR would probably recycle pre-war ones and give them new meanings. I refuse to believe they don’t have any other decorations besides those stars you see on General Oliver’s uniform.

The Brotherhood seem like they would have a completely different mode of memorializing service. Maybe they’d use coins the most? Not really something you’d wear but can still show off…? Think that’d be pretty cool.
