I used to make beignets with my sister back home. I’d never had them from anyone else.
I knew @cafedumondeofficial was the famous place to go. @enji16 took me to the one in City Park & it was super cute. The chicory coffee was a full must. The vibe was cute & you can watch the beignets being made.
Next time, I def gotta try @lorettaspralines. It was a recommended spot, but this was our last day (we took a full day of rest after #FatTuesday) and we were running out of time. (at Cafe Du Monde City Park)

I went with the pink, but kept kept the titties covered most of the day.
Meant to free them at sunset, but life comes at you fast.

Chiacchiere di Carnevale, pictured, are a crunchy, sweet, fried dough garnished with powdered sugar. Leading up to Martedì Grasso or Fat Tuesday, the height of Carnevale, one will find these all over Sicily. The label “chiacchiere” originates from Naples, where this fried mixture of flour, eggs, butter, and some kind of sweet wine reached high society. During the 19th century, the Queen of Savoy was seeking a sweet finger-food to offer her guests while they chatted.
