Ebonfall is a casual free company located on Mateus server. We’re a group of friends who enjoy the game, whether it’s roleplaying, content or just general silliness. Our members are from all over though we tend to favor evenings in the eastern and pacific time zones. We are an 18 + free company because we’re adults and we do enjoy some adult humor. This is not an ERP centered FC however. The main things are to have fun and achieve our goals along with it, whether those are RP or content related.

What We Bring to the Table:
We have a schedule of events though it isn’t a stringent every night thing where it feels like a job. Events tend to be based on interest and are flexible to ensure we’re keeping things fresh. RP wise we seek to build connections both within the FC and with friends outside the FC. Ebonfall has a social LS open to friends of the FC as well as a discord that is open to members and friends alike. We try to even out content and RP so neither one is a sole focus.
As far as RP goes there is no theme or overhanging story for the FC. This leaves things open for members to have characters with many different goals and themes. We will be running short story arcs and other RP ideas as things progress with opportunities for members and friends to become involved and build connections. We’re also open to ideas from members if people want to get plots moving for their own characters. There is a roll system in the works for combat however within reason we’re open to other methods or free form depending on the event.
For content we have those who enjoy the more casual things like old content for mounts and glamour as well as those looking to run the current dungeons and raids. Regular roulette runs and other daily dungeons are also something people engage in frequently. We also have people with the knowledge to teach and guide as well as for content and willing to help with character development ideas.
What or Who We’re Looking For:
Casual people interested in good fun and good friendships. People who are interested in getting back what they put forward. We encourage people to join us in voice and laugh at the memes and silly posts as much as offer fresh ideas and new approaches for things so we can grow together as a group and have a good time doing it.

Studium Graduate: K’huru was one of those few who braved the curriculum of the prestigious Studium in Sharlayan with a focus on Aetherology and other such subjects pertaining to the art of magic. Field Researcher: While primarily, K'huru works for his project superiors, he does offer to take up side projects that people should need while in Eorzea. If any aetheric or magecraft-related issues need a scholarly eye, he will more than likely attempt to help unravel it…most times with some ulterior motive. Or are you perhaps another scholar who wishes to share a discussion with K’huru?
Wanderlust and curious nature: K'huru’s main motivations to become a field researcher were his desires to learn all that he can, and to see the world that he has only read about with his own eyes. The combination of these motivations often leads to the miqo'te being more than eager to seek adventures with new companions whose stories he may be able to glean some insight from.
Too good to be true: A relatively young graduate of the Studium, knowledgeable in many subjects, and a writer of theorems and hypotheses recognized by many of his peers with a gift for magic. A combination of these blessings and talents seem almost too good to be true. What few may see is that these had come at a price. Notes on his Sexuality/Romantic Side:Jacques is categorized as a demisexual with strong homosexual or androsexual leanings. Canon Divergent: For the most part, I do my best to keep Jacques as best as I can leaning into the lore of the game. However, him being what he is (IE: he can turn into what is essentially a ‘primal’ of sorts) is more than just a bit lore breakery. This rarely comes up in RP unless the person that I am RPing with is comfortable with it obviously and it is something that I keep very well guarded. Overall I am a person who tries her best to keep things lore and canon friendly but I am very open to the ‘screw this’ option as well since myself and my IRL partner often times fall into that category with our RPs. Hair:Jacques’ hair is actually extremely long, when he doesn’t have it up in the ponytail and braided it reaches down to just below the base of his tail. His hair is very silky and soft as well since he generally tends to put a lot of care into it. Color wise, Jacques’ hair is a very brilliant silver color which shimmers in the right lighting and has a slight iridescence to it. His hair also has very light aquamarine/teal (mako colored if you would) highlights in it though they are hard to truly notice.
Eyes:Jacques has very bright Aquamarine/Teal (Once again a ‘mako’ color if you would) eyes by default with a very bright Teal Limbal ring around them. However, because of events one of Jacques’ eyes has turned into that of a Great Wyrm to tie him into his dragon form. His left eye is his wyrm eye and it appears a lot like the eye of Hraesvelgr or Nidhogg in terms of looks with the colors ranging from Reds/Crimsons, Oranges, Purples and Blacks to tie it into his ties with Bahamut, Nidhogg and Midgardsormr. His right eye is his normal eye which is the Teal coloration mentioned previously.
Height:Jacques is a giant standing at a tall 7 foot 1 inches (The maximum height for Au Ra), the only things that are usually taller than him are Roegadyn’s and even then it’s not by much.
Build:Jacques is a very muscular and toned male Au Ra, he’s got broad shoulders and tends to have a slight ‘taper’ to his waistline, a sorta hour-glass look to it really but nothing to the extreme. His arms and legs are both extremely muscular due to constant battles and fighting on the front lines. Generally speaking he’s basically a very athletic build and his many years that he’s spent fighting show through either his choice in armor (Which is generally form fitting) or in his more ‘casual’ attire which he doesn’t often go around in. Basically he’s a big, buff dragon man who can probably break anyone in two if they pissed him off enough.
Distinguishing Marks: The major things to note about Jacques would be that he has far more scales than your typical Au Ra. The entire lower half of his arms from the elbow down are covered in thick scales with plating along the backs of them (from the elbow down to the back of his hand basically) and the same is said for his lower legs which also have dragon like feet instead of normal humanoid feet. Jacques’ facial scales are mostly around his eyes with small ‘stripes’ on his cheeks, his entire back starting from the top of his neck is covered in scales with an alligator/crocodile like appearance to them (chutes if you would) and they wrap slightly around his sides. These scales carry all the way down to his tail which is longer than your typical Au Ra tail and it ends in a large flail/fin. Honestly a good idea of his appearance would be this piece that I recently did of him.
Common Accessories: While Jacques isn’t the sort to actually wear jewelry in recent days he has taken to wearing a singular ring on his left (our right) hand, the reasons behind this aren’t really known at the moment but it ties into his relationship with P'shali Talechaser and Swath Lodestone. Other than the ring on his hand he will sometimes wear ‘earrings’ which will hang down from the base of his original horns, these tend to vary and depend on his current mood so to speak.
Additional Features: Basically looking at the image above for an example of what he looks like he has dragon like feet which have ‘toe beans’ (AKA Paw pads) on the bottom, more scales than your typical Au Ra. His tail is longer and has a long line of spines that run down the length of it as well as a fin like flail at the end. Three sets of horns and a large scar over his chest. Not shown is the more recent scarring around his Left Eye (Wyrm eye) due to taking a straight up gun blast to the face.

Smoking Habit: Jacques is a very heavy smoker though he tends to try and keep his smoking to more private areas so not to disturb anyone around him. He’ll smoke a lot when he is stressed or simply having a bad day in general. It helps to not only calm him but to take his mind off of everything happening around him. Drugs:Nope, Jacques hates any sort of narcotic due to his past. He has good reason to not trust any such things and will avoid them. If he is pushed to try them he can easily lose his temper and lash out violently. Alcohol:While he doesn’t heavily drink, Jacques has been known to toss down a drink or two when in good company. He tends to however prefer actually drinking things like Teas over any sort of Alcoholic beverage.

Honestly, when it comes to Jacques I am open for anything really. I can’t really think of ‘hooks’ per-say so it’s often hard for me to think of situations or settings. I tend to be very open with my Role-play and I do not mind plotting things out, I’m pretty much an anything goes kind of person so long as it’s okay with both parties. Jacques’ RP’s can be either very fun and slice of life to dark and brutal depending on what anyone wants. So really, all anyone needs to do is ask and we can see about setting things up! Basically, I’m all for plotting out things and just going from there! Whatever works for my RP partners and the like, I’m pretty much okay with just about anything and everything lol doesn’t matter if it’s fluff/fun times or dark themed. I’m game!
The major things that I ask is that characters don’t know too much about Jacques (IE: his capability to transform into a dragon, the Wyrm Eye [Though this can come up in RP since he doesn’t cover it anymore] or just things that they shouldn’t know upon a first meeting), rumors and such are fine (Such as people whispering about the massive dragon that attacked Foundation during the events of the Vault or the dragon that killed Nidhogg, etc.) but characters knowing too much are a bit of a turn off. Jacques isn’t the sort to go out and just let all of this information out for the world to hear, he’s very secretive and keeps so much hidden just so that he feels ‘safe’.
On another note, while Jacques is with both P’shali and Swath their relationship is open meaning that he is very much okay with having more ‘mature’ moments with people whom might catch his interest. Any romantic relationships or anything that might come up from such things will be kept separate in their own ‘story’ so that things won’t get too confusing obviously.

Culture shock: While he’s dealt with foreigners in Kugane and during the reconstruction of Doma, he’s sorely inexperienced when it comes to living and working in Eorzea. Sometimes he can’t spot the difference between an overly-friendly stranger and a charismatic pickpocket trying to get his coin, or he finds himself confused about which drink to order at a bar, or he enlists at the adventurer’s guild and is tasked with finding/slaying something he’s never seen before… Whatever the case, he could probably use a hand.
Rebuilding after the war: With the Imperials driven out of Othard, Sakyo hardly knows what to do with his newfound freedoms. Though there’s a looming expectation that he will one day resume the family craft, right now he’s too troubled by his own lack of participation in the war and instead directs his efforts to aiding the the Doman reconstruction and the Ala Mhigans. He also delivers homemade sundries and supplies to the Azim Steppe as a means of honoring the Xaela’s role in the liberation of his homeland.
Far Eastern activities: Doing handiwork for villagers or wealthy lords, visiting or working to maintain temples, paying respects to kami, partaking in ceremonies, making an exquisite pair of geta for an aspiring maiko, crafting offerings to appease shrine spirits, anything and everything.
Be a hero: I’m 100% down to have your character come to Sakyo’s rescue. Maybe he’s pushed himself too hard and he’s been ambushed by a pack of hungry wolves on the Steppe, or he’s encountered a marlboro for the first time and has succumbed to its bad breath. Anything you like really. I’m flexible. In reverse, perhaps some outsider finds themselves stranded/injured/lost/forced into hiding/otherwise stuck in Sakyo’s quiet village and must remain there until they are able to leave. I’ll admit I’m a sucker for this trope.
Casual hook-ups, one-night stands, smut: It isn’t a common occurrence but Sakyo will occasionally seek out release. He views it as a professional, mutually beneficial arrangement and keeps himself emotionally distant. That said, I’m extremely picky about my gratuitous smut and would rather find a way to make the approach believable IC instead of just jumping in. This could be anything from old friends with benefits, to an adventuring comrade looking to relieve stress, to a private visit to an actual brothel somewhere. It just needs something to build on otherwise I lose interest.Players and characters need to be 18+ before this becomes an option.

I prefer to RP in game first and foremost; I’m Nekhii Mierqid on the Mateus server. I can also RP on tumblr via prompts, but I am a bit slower there as I try to figure out how to word my posts. I’m shy and anxious, but I’ll do my best!
Hair: Medium in length and Umber, it is parted in a way so that the thick of it falls to the right. Strands stick up here and there, it might be considered disheveled; this is done purposefully, as time is precious. It is silken to the touch.
Eyes: Burnt Orange optics with slitted pupils, much reminiscent of the dragon’s from which he is descended. Black stains the sclera where white would typically be seen.
Height: 7 Fulm, 2 Ilm ( 7′ 2″ )
Physique: Large biceps, chiseled pecs and abs. The Xaela is built from his constant efforts to remain in top shape, especially so since most of his Gil is gained protecting others or from chasing after bounties.

Posture:He tends to stand up straight and rigid, some would consider him to have a ‘stick up his ass’.
Scars:They litter his body, telling a story of a warrior. The largest one is jagged and runs along his left pectoral, stops just above his abdominal muscles.
Distinguishing Features: Unlike most Xaela, where obsidian scales would normally be present, his are cracked and flowing with lava. They are hot to the touch, though not enough where they will burn.

Hidden Amoung Shadows: There might have been a time when Kurasa wished to be seen, when he made a point to show his scales off and revel in the attention. Now, he tends to stick to the shadows or remains in his own company, oft wearing a hood to hide his features.
Flawed Moral Compass: While he may seem like any other person, Kurasa is quite capable of committing heinous acts; an example would be how he became a Dravanian Spy during the Dragonsong War. How many innocents died due to his actions? A thought that would haunt normal people, but Kurasa sleeps just fine.
Short Trigger: Perhaps it is the dragon blood that runs through his veins, perhaps he was simply borne that way, but Kurasa has an extremely short trigger when it comes to his temper. As he’s gotten older, he’s done his best to reign it in, but he will still beat heads if provoked enough.
Mistrusting to a Fault: Due to all that he has been through, Kurasa trusts none but himself. He has seen how quickly people turn on one another, how easily they come to assumptions. The man has seen the absolute worst of people and would rather not trust another to save his hide.
Are You Really That Smug?: Once his barriers have been breached, his smug attitude and belief in his own capabilities come to the surface. Kurasa knowsthat he is good looking, that he is good in battle and in bed, and he won’t let another tell him otherwise.
Frisky Under the Influence: Though not an every day occurrence, the man can often be seen in the corner of a tavern, pounding back the drinks…which probably garners more attention than it should. But with drink in his system, he becomes much more open and social, which leads to a new bed partner. But upon waking, he is his normal self, extremely ticked and grumpy despite just having got laid.

Eventually, the Xaela will begin to open up, once he sees they are not there to cause him harm and they accept him for who he has become. Will become a protector, a shadow that looks over them and ensures their safety. Once he loves, he will love them alone.

Sword for Hire: Or more specifically, a glaive. Kurasa will do just about anything to put Gil into his pocket; in regards to killing or protecting, that is. But unless the person has won his loyalty, there is a chance he’ll turn on them in favor of a higher counter offer.
Blood of the Dragon: The Orl Clan was persecuted and primarily killed off because the Ishgardians believed them to be in line with their dragon ancestors: one look at Kurasa and, although not proven, one might think he truly did descend from the creatures. Cracked obsidian scales that flow with lava, slitted eyes, and fanged teeth. He portrays an intimidating picture.
Battle Hardened Warrior: Kurasa is the epitome of a person that has been hardened by battle, and by fate. There could be no better person to fight at your side, as he is skilled in not only his glaive but a multitude of other weapons. He’s one of the first to rush into the fray and it’s quite hard to take him down.
Lover of Tea: When the Xaela is able, he enjoys being able to sit down with a steaming cup of tea and let the days troubles wash from his person. It’s strange to see him do so and often, he’ll get looks of confusion when ordering, but who gives a shit?
A Slight Alcoholic: Then there is the opposite of the tea love, which is his need to drown his emotions in alcohol. Unfortunately when Kurasa drinks enough, he becomes a very open and affectionate person, which oft leads to him waking up with another in his bed.
Nature Lover: The best way he found to keep his body in shape, is to test his strength against what nature has to offer. Climbing cliffs and waterfalls gives the Xaela a full body work out and when he is done, he can sit amoungst the flowers and animals, and relax. There is nothing quite like feeling the sun beat down and the cool breeze against sweat stained skin.

Garlemald lays in a blackened husk. What was once prosperious villages have given to blankets of frost and reclaimed by the wilderness. The agents of STELLAE have arrived in Ad Turres Albas, a suburbian town nestled by the main railroad into the capital. A frozen ghost town, the residence seemingly spirited away. The agents head towards the Station to see if they can find any of the missing residence.

Director Leandre Mercier and Liaison Abelaire Cygnnoire will be co-leading a hands-on exhibition focused on the basics of the culinary arts for those with limited time and resources in mind. No prior experience required~
All participants will be encouraged to work alongside the instructors and create their own dishes: this time a hearty stew that can be made equally as easily over campfire or stovetop alike, certain to impress one’s adventuring companions!
