Jacques Cresent, the Dragon in Disguise

• Notes on his Sexuality/Romantic Side:Jacques is categorized as a demisexual with strong homosexual or androsexual leanings. He is open to sexual activities but only once he has forged a strong enough emotional bond with the person that he will have sex with (Such as his partners P’shali and Swath for example), he simply prefers men in most cases. This also ties into him being Demiromantic as he has to have that strong emotional bond before he feels any such love/romantic attraction to a partner. • Alignment:Chaotic Neutral for the most part, he can sometimes delve into Chaotic Evil if situations come up that break him. He can also lean into just straight up neutral.

• Canon Divergent: For the most part, I do my best to keep Jacques as best as I can leaning into the lore of the game. However, him being what he is (IE: he can turn into what is essentially a ‘primal’ of sorts) is more than just a bit lore breakery. This rarely comes up in RP unless the person that I am RPing with is comfortable with it obviously and it is something that I keep very well guarded. Overall I am a person who tries her best to keep things lore and canon friendly but I am very open to the ‘screw this’ option as well since myself and my IRL partner often times fall into that category with our RPs. Physical Appearance ––– –

You can find more detailed information about certain things on Jacques’ character page. Specifically his scales, horns, etc.

• Hair:Jacques’ hair is actually extremely long, when he doesn’t have it up in the ponytail and braided it reaches down to just below the base of his tail. His hair is very silky and soft as well since he generally tends to put a lot of care into it. Color wise, Jacques’ hair is a very brilliant silver color which shimmers in the right lighting and has a slight iridescence to it. His hair also has very light aquamarine/teal (mako colored if you would) highlights in it though they are hard to truly notice.
• Eyes:Jacques has very bright Aquamarine/Teal (Once again a ‘mako’ color if you would) eyes by default with a very bright Teal Limbal ring around them. However, because of events one of Jacques’ eyes has turned into that of a Great Wyrm to tie him into his dragon form. His left eye is his wyrm eye and it appears a lot like the eye of Hraesvelgr or Nidhogg in terms of looks with the colors ranging from Reds/Crimsons, Oranges, Purples and Blacks to tie it into his ties with Bahamut, Nidhogg and Midgardsormr. His right eye is his normal eye which is the Teal coloration mentioned previously.
• Height:Jacques is a giant standing at a tall 7 foot 1 inches (The maximum height for Au Ra), the only things that are usually taller than him are Roegadyn’s and even then it’s not by much.
• Build:Jacques is a very muscular and toned male Au Ra, he’s got broad shoulders and tends to have a slight ‘taper’ to his waistline, a sorta hour-glass look to it really but nothing to the extreme. His arms and legs are both extremely muscular due to constant battles and fighting on the front lines. Generally speaking he’s basically a very athletic build and his many years that he’s spent fighting show through either his choice in armor (Which is generally form fitting) or in his more ‘casual’ attire which he doesn’t often go around in. Basically he’s a big, buff dragon man who can probably break anyone in two if they pissed him off enough.
• Distinguishing Marks: The major things to note about Jacques would be that he has far more scales than your typical Au Ra. The entire lower half of his arms from the elbow down are covered in thick scales with plating along the backs of them (from the elbow down to the back of his hand basically) and the same is said for his lower legs which also have dragon like feet instead of normal humanoid feet. Jacques’ facial scales are mostly around his eyes with small ‘stripes’ on his cheeks, his entire back starting from the top of his neck is covered in scales with an alligator/crocodile like appearance to them (chutes if you would) and they wrap slightly around his sides. These scales carry all the way down to his tail which is longer than your typical Au Ra tail and it ends in a large flail/fin. Honestly a good idea of his appearance would be this piece that I recently did of him.

• Common Accessories: While Jacques isn’t the sort to actually wear jewelry in recent days he has taken to wearing a singular ring on his left (our right) hand, the reasons behind this aren’t really known at the moment but it ties into his relationship with P'shali Talechaser and Swath Lodestone. Other than the ring on his hand he will sometimes wear ‘earrings’ which will hang down from the base of his original horns, these tend to vary and depend on his current mood so to speak.
• Additional Features: Basically looking at the image above for an example of what he looks like he has dragon like feet which have ‘toe beans’ (AKA Paw pads) on the bottom, more scales than your typical Au Ra. His tail is longer and has a long line of spines that run down the length of it as well as a fin like flail at the end. Three sets of horns and a large scar over his chest. Not shown is the more recent scarring around his Left Eye (Wyrm eye) due to taking a straight up gun blast to the face.

Smoking Habit: Jacques is a very heavy smoker though he tends to try and keep his smoking to more private areas so not to disturb anyone around him. He’ll smoke a lot when he is stressed or simply having a bad day in general. It helps to not only calm him but to take his mind off of everything happening around him.
Drugs:Nope, Jacques hates any sort of narcotic due to his past. He has good reason to not trust any such things and will avoid them. If he is pushed to try them he can easily lose his temper and lash out violently.
Alcohol:While he doesn’t heavily drink, Jacques has been known to toss down a drink or two when in good company. He tends to however prefer actually drinking things like Teas over any sort of Alcoholic beverage.

RP Hooks ––– –

Honestly, when it comes to Jacques I am open for anything really. I can’t really think of ‘hooks’ per-say so it’s often hard for me to think of situations or settings. I tend to be very open with my Role-play and I do not mind plotting things out, I’m pretty much an anything goes kind of person so long as it’s okay with both parties. Jacques’ RP’s can be either very fun and slice of life to dark and brutal depending on what anyone wants. So really, all anyone needs to do is ask and we can see about setting things up! Basically, I’m all for plotting out things and just going from there! Whatever works for my RP partners and the like, I’m pretty much okay with just about anything and everything lol doesn’t matter if it’s fluff/fun times or dark themed. I’m game!

The major things that I ask is that characters don’t know too much about Jacques (IE: his capability to transform into a dragon, the Wyrm Eye [Though this can come up in RP since he doesn’t cover it anymore] or just things that they shouldn’t know upon a first meeting), rumors and such are fine (Such as people whispering about the massive dragon that attacked Foundation during the events of the Vault or the dragon that killed Nidhogg, etc.) but characters knowing too much are a bit of a turn off. Jacques isn’t the sort to go out and just let all of this information out for the world to hear, he’s very secretive and keeps so much hidden just so that he feels ‘safe’.

On another note, while Jacques is with both P’shali and Swath their relationship is open meaning that he is very much okay with having more ‘mature’ moments with people whom might catch his interest. Any romantic relationships or anything that might come up from such things will be kept separate in their own ‘story’ so that things won’t get too confusing obviously.

• Culture shock: While he’s dealt with foreigners in Kugane and during the reconstruction of Doma, he’s sorely inexperienced when it comes to living and working in Eorzea. Sometimes he can’t spot the difference between an overly-friendly stranger and a charismatic pickpocket trying to get his coin, or he finds himself confused about which drink to order at a bar, or he enlists at the adventurer’s guild and is tasked with finding/slaying something he’s never seen before… Whatever the case, he could probably use a hand.
• Rebuilding after the war: With the Imperials driven out of Othard, Sakyo hardly knows what to do with his newfound freedoms. Though there’s a looming expectation that he will one day resume the family craft, right now he’s too troubled by his own lack of participation in the war and instead directs his efforts to aiding the the Doman reconstruction and the Ala Mhigans. He also delivers homemade sundries and supplies to the Azim Steppe as a means of honoring the Xaela’s role in the liberation of his homeland.
• Far Eastern activities: Doing handiwork for villagers or wealthy lords, visiting or working to maintain temples, paying respects to kami, partaking in ceremonies, making an exquisite pair of geta for an aspiring maiko, crafting offerings to appease shrine spirits, anything and everything.
• Be a hero: I’m 100% down to have your character come to Sakyo’s rescue. Maybe he’s pushed himself too hard and he’s been ambushed by a pack of hungry wolves on the Steppe, or he’s encountered a marlboro for the first time and has succumbed to its bad breath. Anything you like really. I’m flexible. In reverse, perhaps some outsider finds themselves stranded/injured/lost/forced into hiding/otherwise stuck in Sakyo’s quiet village and must remain there until they are able to leave. I’ll admit I’m a sucker for this trope. 
• Casual hook-ups, one-night stands, smut: It isn’t a common occurrence but Sakyo will occasionally seek out release. He views it as a professional, mutually beneficial arrangement and keeps himself emotionally distant. That said, I’m extremely picky about my gratuitous smut and would rather find a way to make the approach believable IC instead of just jumping in. This could be anything from old friends with benefits, to an adventuring comrade looking to relieve stress, to a private visit to an actual brothel somewhere. It just needs something to build on otherwise I lose interest. Players and characters need to be 18+ before this becomes an option.

Socialite: Seirun is an extroverted, friendly hyur, always ready to lend a hand to those stumbling in his way (if it doesn’t cost him too much), and butting into situations and problems that are none of his business (often much to the irritation of the bystanders). He finds himself at ease in social situations, and his mannerism and vocabulary seems to flow and change with ease as the situation demands, from the most formal etiquette of noble gatherings to the tuggish and lowlife cant of the darkest corners of Ul’dah. He is quite opinionated, and hardly ever afraid to share his opinions with the world at large on all and every subject.

Reserved on his past: He doesn’t often talk about his past, and if pressed tries to dodge questions and change topic as quickly as he can. It is quite difficult for him to open up about it, and will only do so with those he considers closest and most trustworthy.

Endless Curiosity: He seems to posses an endless curiosity for the world and everything in it; demonstrating knowledge he does not posses is a sure way to get his attention… as well as countless questions.

• Ul’Dah Based - He is not quite a fixture of the city, but is nonetheless generally easy to find him around Ul’Dah, especially resting and trying to find someone to bombard with questions in and around the Quicksands, where most adventurers seem to converge.
• Socialite - It is quite possible that, if there is a social event and he heard about it, the minute hyur could be found there, doing what he does best and trying to mingle and make acquaintances.
• Aether study - He has an almost inextinguishable thirst for knowledge, especially about everything related to the Aether. Anyone offering knowledge in the field is sure to attract his attention, as well as his countless questions.
• Flames Contractor, Adventurer - Although not quite an Immortal Flame as of yet he is an external contractor, often taking bounties and missions from the board, generally patrolling around Ul’dah. He could certainly be interested in more exotic and dangerous expeditions as well, should the opportunity present itself. 
  
• Storyteller - Seirun adores making up and sharing stories. He will gladly partake in the activity with anyone that nudges him or displays the inclination.

Thank you for checking out my character’s (muse?) blog! Is still a work in progress so do not be alarmed if it changes several times in the coming days (hopefully for the better).
I am looking for all kinds of connections, contacts, RP partners and so on for Seirun, my little Hyur on Mateus. I prefer mature, dark themed and complex RP, but am open for anything really!

I like coherent RP the most, I usually never decide what is supposed to happen to my characters in advance, I prefer to mold them around ideas and personalities and see where it brings them interacting with others. I am open to most ideas, including the death of my characters, as long as there is appropriate discussion and communication between the parties involved; I am not a fan of godmodding though, nor of godlike characters and the likes I am afraid, so perhaps that is something to keep in mind? Not sure. Anyway feel free to hit me up with anything, worst case scenario I will refuse a scene, but will make sure to give you at least the reasons! ⌖APPEARANCE;yozora has white-blonde hair ( dyed; naturally black ), is of a slim but toned build, is approximately 5′6″, and has ever so slightly tanned skin. he has total heterochromia iridium, possessing one eye of a red-brown hue whilst the other, lacking in pigmentation, is blue. after fleeing from his garlean captors, he was mauled by a tiger, an incident that almost cost him his life and left him disfigured. he sports claw wounds across his nose and cheeks and his right arm is covered in countless claw wounds and bite indentations.

⌖RESIDENCE;yanxia(born), sandong ( current, since his escape from the garlean army ), often stationed in various locations around eorzea and the far east.

⌖PERSONALITY;despite all that has befallen him, yozora remains largely optimistic and welcoming - the seeming opposite of his far more quite, reserved, and serious brother. he is noted for his faith in his abilities and his ability to better himself, as well as being increasingly eager to acquire new skills in order to better serve the people to whom he owes his life. in combat situations, his entire demeanour changes, becoming stiff lipped when awaiting commands and fierce in battle, the recollection of every slaughtered ken - his anger and his hurt - causing adrenaline to flood him. he is equally an effective solo fighter and member of a unit. unfortunately, when yozora is experiencing a dip in his mental well-being, he experiences great difficulty in hiding it. during such times, he will be become noticeably paranoid / anxious, quick to upset, tearful, and will attempt to isolate himself - a world away from how he so commonly appears.

⌖FOR MORE INFO…sandong lore carrd in the works! i will update with a link once enough information is written up to warrant publishing. in the meantime, however… sandong is a region of my own design. it is located in the mountainous region beyond the azime steppe and is inhabited by hyur and miq’ote ( who the sandongi call “ goya “ ). it is based upon nepal and rural / the mountain villages of south korea. much of the aesthetics and culture draw from these regions. its name translates, quite literally, to “ east mountain “. gil nor any other form of currency is used here. instead, materials, services, and products are traded. the people do not live as a plethora of families but instead become members of the tribe that best fits their character or abilities.

Congregation of Our Knights Most Heavenly: Landon joined the Temple Knights in the final few years of the Dragonsong War, and saw a fair degree of combat with Dravanians. He also did grunt work protecting Ishgard proper when he wasn’t actively deployed. Any character who is linked to the Temple Knights or Holy See could have a reason to have engaged with him in this context. Alternatively, he may have had a run-in with your civilian or heretic character during guard duty!

Chocobo Rancher: Growing up in Tailfeather with his father and stepmother, Landon spent his youth working around chocobos (mostly cleaning up after them–it was not glamorous work). The Bell family is pledged to a noble house and performs chocobo husbandry and training in service to them. Characters who live or spend significant time in Tailfeather or who are in the chocobo business may know his family. Landon also currently does grunt labor for the various chocobo stables in Ishgard, so a connection could be made there too.

Halonic Devotion: Pious and devout, Landon spends a great deal of time in St. Reymanaud’s Cathedral and attends regular services. He has a pipe dream of joining the Scholasticate and taking a more formal step toward deepening his devotion, but he can’t currently afford the tuition, even if he wasn’t struggling with religious self-doubt. Halonic scholars, clergy of the See, and other habitual worshipers will likely know his face.

Spiritual Cleansing (18+): Landon suffers from nightmares and insomnia, which he believes are a result of some personal moral failure, and he is actively seeking guidance from a spiritual authority. While I’m eager to do general religious guidance RP with any appropriate character, I’m also specifically interested in seeking some dark and adult themes that bridge the gap between spirituality and sexuality (primarily, but not limited to, bondage/discipline, submission, and religious shame). This would heavily depend on his chemistry with the other character, and I’m likely to be fairly selective about who I roleplay this with! Although erotic in theme and nature, this does not have to explicitly include sex. All genders are appropriate.

Ishgardians: While I realize I’m tying my own hands with this, I’m trying to roleplay Landon as a character who doesn’t venture into the other city-states very often (and when he does, it’s almost always Gridania). As such, I am extremely fucking thirsty for Ishgardians-in-Ishgard RP! If you play an Ishgardian and you like what you’re seeing here, please reach out to me! I’m happy to put our heads together and come up with a contrivance for why our characters might run into each other. If all else fails, Landon frequents both the bar and the pew.

Sex (18+): I like ERP, but Landon is one of my tougher nuts to crack (no… pun… intended). He’s likely to eschew anyone’s attempts to date him, although at heart he’s a romantic and desires to be intimate with people. He’s not shy or timid, he’s just a bit closed off. Give it a shot! The worst that can happen is that he says ‘no’ too abruptly and then gets embarrassed and never talks to you again because he feels guilty about bluntly turning down your sexual advances. So, hey, no pressure.
