Vote rigging is a serious problem in Hong Kong, plus the low voter turnout, it’s easy for the pro-Beijing / pro-government camp to win the election.
In this clip, the staff from Food and Environment Hygiene Department are removing the pro-democracy candidate’s promotion banner, but the election is still ongoing, and the pro-government candidate’s banner remain untouched.
The police had been surrounded the Polytechnic University for 2 days, some of the student’s parents started a sit-in to support the students, later more and more people join in.
There are people calling others to go to the Polytechnic University after work in order to help evacuate the students, people gathered in the Tsim Sha Tsui area and walked to the university, most of them do not have any protective gears as they rush to the scene after work. Though the police used teargas and water cannons on them, the group of people insisted walking to support the students.
