I’ve always been a summer person through and through… But I guess with this whole ski touring thing, I’m trying to embrace winter. It’s not hard when you get days like this!
The view across Garibaldi Lake to the Tantalus Range while we were out ski touring this weekend. Peaks from left to right are: Omega, Niobe, Alpha, Serratus, Tantalus, Zenith, and Pelion.
I definitely do not put up enough drum videos! Hope you enjoy this!

Giuseppe Garibaldi was an Italian Revolutionary in the 19th century. Born in Nice, he participated in an early uprising, but was captured and sentenced to death. He escaped, however, and resurfaced in Brazil. He apparently took an interest in politics there as well, participating in the fight against the imperialist dictators. It was then that he formed his force of volunteer “Red Shirts”, a small but dedicated group of freedom fighters.
After winning these battles, Garibaldi returned to Italy, where he took back most of Southern Italy from outside countries with only 1000 Red Shirts. His fearsome reputation, iconic army, and penchant for defeating overlords earned him the name, “Hero of Two Worlds.”
