A brief Kylux thought
I think that honestly the sweetest potential of Kylux is the aspect that Hux loves Kylo for who he is in the here and now.
Kylo is (canonically) horribly co-dependent and two of the people he’s tied himself to valued him for who he was in the past (Rey’s attachment to Ben Solo) and who he could be in the future (Snoke’s attachment to Vader’s legacy).
However, Hux’s value of Kylo is how he views him in the present. Hux values skill over identity, so he wouldn’t care about Ben Solo or the Skywalker family legacy. He values Kylo for how Kylo views and conducts himself now, and while Kylo’s mental health isn’t super great, this aspect of their relationship is honestly the sweetest and most loving. Kylo Ren should get to decide what his name means, and Hux’s companionship could further allow him to explore that.
I hope they know. I hope someone does.
