The famous glasses, the skirt, the moderate side part, the fantastic ruched top (which some of you may recognize from this post), the zip-front jean jacket with no visible pockets…and a DECORATIVE FAN (?!?!?!)

I’m so excited about this look I can barely type. 

Beginning to think I might have to change the name of this blog to “red-tinted oval glasses crazy patten maxi skirt.”

When most people enjoy sports, or hang around on astroturf-covered park spaces for the benefit of an undisclosed charity, they wear some sort of ill-fitting “athletic” apparel, along with sensible footwear that encourages agility, or at the very least, an approximation of stability. 

Not Gillian Anderson.

White platform mules, a mesh (?) sleeveless dress,white ball cap and, naturally, oval rose-tinted sunglasses are a killer choice for signing autographs and drinking frappucinos on a pleasant midsummer afternoon.

I must say I really appreciate when a person stays true to form in terms of their sartorial commitments. Really demonstrates something about their character.

This post was published exactly ONE YEAR AGO and it is entirely still relevant.

FRIDAY!

Not sure about the rest of y’all, but this stay-in-bed-reading-the-newspaper-department-store-sale-insert in drop earrings and a sequinnedperiwinkle (?) daytime slip nightie constitutes 100% of my WEEKEND VIBES.

Right now, I am Gillian in this image. She is me. My job is the incarcerated alien freedom fighter with a Nokia strapped to his chest that is handcuffed to me.

I, however, am not wearing a custom pinstriped power suit with no top on underneath, so maybe that’s why I keep flipping all the tables in all the conference rooms.
