Writing Snacks:
Sitting down to write with a bag of chips or a slice of cake is… well, let’s face it. You’re probably going to eat too much. And yes, I have been very guilty of this.
Here’s an alternative:
▪️sliced veggies + dip
▪️yogurt(non-dairy is my fav)
▪️pretzels
▪️smoothie
▪️your favorite nuts (almonds!!!)
▪️juice
▪️sliced apples with nut butter
▪️dark chocolate
▪️popcorn
▪️dried fruit
▪️seed mixes
▪️hot tea
If your anything like me, you’ll sit down at your laptop for hours at a time working on your story… so it’s good to prepare your snacks in advance, so it’s an easy grab and go option.
Some lovely oolong at Shoryu in Soho, London; it’s served hot or cold and was quite a rich, strongly scented hot brew. The lovely musty smell hit me as soon as it was poured. Could over brew easily but they keep the hot water topped up. Bonus - delicious tonkotsu in the background…

blueberry thyme summer tea

this tea can be served hot or cold which normally i find to be false advertising and a sham, but it rly works with this tea! it’s great for just a quick pick me up drink and it gives a nice sense of security, like somehow everything’s just gonna be ok, ya know? also i highly recommend enjoying a cup of this outside in the sun if you can
