This is for @gingerpilotweek 2020, day 6: Alternate Universe. It’s more like slight AU/canon divergence/what I wanted to see happen right after “I’m the spy!” And then Poe took Hux with them, of course, and everyone lived happily ever after.

@gingerpilotweek Day 5: Force! Was gonna go angsty with this but decided to go cute instead. Poe would only ever use the force to annoy Hux and nothing else. He’d never go into his head though for obvious reasons! Hux was a bit worried when he found out Poe had the force, thinking he was going to turn into another asshole force user and throw him around like Kylo and Snoke, but he didn’t! Hux knows he’d never overstep boundaries, and weirdly he does find him cute! In a little pain in the ass kind of way… Of course he’d NEVER admit this.
I’ve always said Poe would be an absolute menace if he had the Force!

In case anyone was curious, here is the excerpt from Chapter 15 to go with the illustration:
“You aren’t the first person to attempt that, Dameron,” Armitage says. “It never ever helps. It only encourages him. It’s much better and much faster if you shut up and let him finish whatever game it is he’s playing.”
“That doesn’t sound like you.”
“No. I suppose it doesn’t.” Armitage exhales slowly, trying to assuage tension from a long day gone awry. “Is there anything else you wanted to ask?”
They’re incredibly close to each other now. Armitage can hear Dameron’s breathing, a little closer and he would be able to hear his heartbeat. The thought is soothing.
“Yes, um… there is actually,” Dameron fumbles. “Can I hold you? Truth is I’ve been wanting to for a while now.”
Of all things to ask, Dameron.
Armitage nods and leans into the embrace. Touch has rarely brought him comfort, but tonight is different. Dameron is different.
Hello there! Calling all GingerPilot fans for GingerPilot Week 2022! This blog will be hosting the event alongside @gingerpilotbay!
When: Dates will be announced soon. We are tentatively considering some time in mid June. However, there will be a poll going out via the event Twitter account (@GP_events) to decide the final dates.
What: We are planning on having two themes per day for the event including both in-universe and crossover/AU/adjacent themes. We are currently taking suggestions for themes. If there is a theme that you would like to see featured in this year’s event or have any other questions please let us know here. Anonymous theme suggestions are allowed too!
