I had an Idea for a zine once that revolved around drawing of my lady friends who had glasses, with and without their glasses. Sort of about how when we cool at people’s faces with glasses, the glasses sort of dominate our vision and it’s hard to focus on their faces. I only drew this one picture and sorta lost interest.
But when I was scanning it, I thought of a really neat way to do this zine that makes sense. I could draw portraits of people with their glasses, while not wearing glasses myself…. and then draw them with out their glasses while wearing mine… and I would think this would capture that sorta glassed vagueness i talked about earlier. Maybe?
Sometimes I forget whether I’m wearing glasses or not and whenever this happens, I like to do this test where I look at something and if I see it I know I’m wearing my glasses.
