The Switch occurs once the youngest of the Soulmate Pair falls asleep after turning 16. It doesn’t matter if the older half of the pair is awake or asleep, or where they are in the world, they immediately Switch. The Soulmate Pair stay Switched for four weeks, living within their Soulmate’s body for exactly 672 hours - 28 Days. Once Switched Back the true nature of the Soulmate Match reveals itself as a multicolored Soulmate Mark on the left wrist and palm.

Santana was standing in front of the choir room, all her dear friends that had influenced her life over the past six years staring up at her. She held her hands out in front of her, as she always did when she was nervous, and began to speak.
“Years ago, I remember sitting in the back of this choir room. I’d glance around, saddened, until a familiar face would grab my hand, lock pinkies with me, and tell me something crazy about her cat.” She paused to chuckle.
“I didn’t realize the love with person could provide for me. I was blinded. Blinded by the stories I heard, about the bullying gay people received and the torment….being disowned. It was, scary. But, this blue-eyed blonde..” She bit her lip and looked down at her feet, grinning wide as her cheeks were reddened with a deep shade of crimson. “She walked into my life. She made me not be scared of who I really was, she saw every part of me. Even though I picked on everyone in this room at one point or another, she saw the good in me. She was the sunshine of my life, and she still is.
This girl…when I’m with her, she’s all I see. When we talk, there aren’t awkward pauses. When we kiss, I swear I can hear clocks all over the world turning backwards.
