Morana is a Slavic goddess of winter and death, associated with rebirth of nature. She often appears in different guises but is described as a woman of dark hair and terrifying appearance, bringing famine and destruction wherever she goes. Her arrival was therefore expected with dread while her departure was celebrated with boisterous cheer.

Some legends suggest she seduced Jarilo (god of spring) while he was searching for his lost wife in the Underworld - Nav. Eventually grown bored with her lover, Morana attempted to poison him with the drink of oblivion but failed and escaped badly burned. Another myth brings Morana in connection with Voden, making them a divine couple of the Underworld. Voden and Morana drowned people in their dark waters. Slavs tried to propitiate them by sacrificial offerings.

Morena, also known as Morė in Lithuanian and Marzanna in Polish, is the Slavic goddess of sorcery, death, winter and nightmares. The end of winter was celebrated using an effigy of Morena, which was burned along with herbs and cast into a river on first spring day in March. It was believed that touching the effigy once it was in the water, looking back at the effigy or falling on your way home would bring sickness and plague. The ritual represented the end of the dark days of winter, the victory over death, and the welcoming of the spring rebirth.

So, if Foolish was once the God of Death, and Kristin is our *hypothetical, not yet confirmed* current Goddess of Death, would they have some sort of beef with each other?

Would Foolish dislike Kristin for taking his role/throne/birthright/title? Or would he be thankful for her taking over his role in his absence?

Would Kristin like Foolish or think him too immature for his power? Seeing as Foolish is a young God and lost his title as “God of Death” after the whole Village that went Mad thing.             -> I’m not entirely sure what happened, but from what I’ve gathered (via Ponk’s lore) Foolish messed up and his powers somehow corrupted Jack and Bob hence the massacre of an entire town (as “death” was his thing).

It’d be nice to see how Gods work better in their world. How a God(dess?) like Prime can exist and be worshipped (despite not being a proper character) amongst people like Foolish and DreamXD who’ve shown to really be Godlike. How someone with a God complex like Dream would fare against an actual God.

TL;DR I headcanon Kristin and Foolish have beef with each other because they have the same title.

Hela: Good thing I’m not a man

Thanos: No, I mean that no human can deafeat me

Hela: Well, I’m Asgardian so…

Thanos: Uh, no mortal can defeat me?
