The Tree of Life is an important symbol used by many theology, philosophy and mythology. It symbolizes the connection between heaven and earth and the underworld. This historical symbol has been reinterpreted by Gustav Klimt’s famous wall painting, The Tree of Life. The symbol of life and it continues to inspire many branches of art. @taffinjewelry , which has a unique place in the jewelery world with its original style, has also designed a brooch by not being indifferent to the Tree of Life. he used the piece of wood to stick to the authenticity of this symbol. In the brooch, the body of which was made of wood material, the detail that gave life to the leaves was jadeite and spinels. With the perfection of nature and the infinity of human intelligence, Life looks like a green tree. ( details of brooch ; Designed as a tree of palissander wood, set with marquise-shaped jadeite cabochon leaves of highly translucent brilliant emerald green colour, interspersed throughout with circular-cut red spinels resembling ripened peaches, mounted in platinum and 18 karat yellow gold, signed.
Cabochons approximately 7.49 x 2.80mm to 13.05 x 5.00mm. ) #taffin #gustavklimt #treeoflife #spinel #jadeite #wood #palissanderwood #platinum #brooch #arthistory #artwork #couture #jewelrydesign #jewellery #jewels )

Looking at some of Gustav Klimt’s works inspires me so much ❤ I hope that this one does not stay a WIP cause I do want to work out the hair ❤ thought about making it rose coloured ( hmm who could it be???)

No ref used! Original art ❤

I hope Tumblr does not take this down… I mean the parts are covered

Hi all, to recognise Black History Month I’ve decided to draw Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Cinderella (1997).

The movie was the first film to depict Cinderella as a person of colour with a multi-cultural cast of characters. I remember first seeing this film on VHS when I was at my grandfather’s place down the South Coast in Australia, my aunty rented it at the video store. I was about 8 at time and thought strange that a black person was playing Cinderella, my simple mind couldn’t see the significance of the casting until now. Plus I didn’t know who Brandy was, she was new to me. But then I knew her better when she released “What About Us” in 2002.

Now that the film is on Disney Plus I’ve watched it again and (seriously) this film has a fun cast, beautiful set designs that are based off one of my favourite artists of all time Gustav Klimt. Also the song “Impossible!/It’s Possible!” is stuck in my head while writing this.

I do hope this film gets a remake in the future, cause this film needs to be seen my a new generation of kids and families. This adaptation of Cinderella is a fan fiction fantasy story that needs no explanation why they are a certain ethnicity, but to have fun, learn and entertain the audience.

I used a graphics tablet, Clip Studio Paint and Adobe Photoshop 2021. #cinderella #disney #disneyplus #blackhistory #blackhistorymonth #manga #anime #drawing #illustration #whitneyhouston #brandy #fairytail #fantasyart #gustavklimt #blm
