I recently tabled at Anime NYC and had a blast there! I’ve got pre-con stock in my shop which I will post up sometime this week :’)
As for my long ass hiatus (lol since october) i’ve had absolutely no drive/motivation/time/energy to draw oTL my life has swirled into this… crazy carfafol and i don’t even know where to begin haha
anyway.. i’m still going to be very much missing from here (I’M MORE ACTIVE ON TWITTER) i’m just going to post these up here and then vanish again haha sorry

My three pieces done for @onemoretimezine! Incredibly thankful that I was able to be part of this fan zine for such a great cause! We started this in March and it’s crazy how we’re already nearing the end and zines have begun shipping. You can find more pieces from the zine on their TwitterandInsta, there’s a ton of wonderful art that I’m so happy we can finally see!!
In the second piece, Guy’s outfit is from Balmain SS 2012 and Thomas’ is from Saint Laurent FW 2019.
The third piece is a design for a double-sided acrylic charm that is included in the bundles. I referenced instruments they used, as well as some little details in the records.
I’ve been doodling a lot of Daft Punk for warmups and practice to loosen my hand a bit over the last few months. I always had the problem about noodling with things for days so I’m trying to train my brain to just run with whatever idea I have and no worry too much about trying to create something perfect (mileage is what people like to call it right). These guys are fun to draw as well so that helps! A few of these were drawing requests from a Discord server and from Aggie/Drawpile sessions.
Daft Punk has helped me through many difficult years and has taught me sometimes it’s okay to be a dance-loving French robot. And not to be afraid of dancing, even if it’s just in my room. I don’t really remember the first time I heard them, but it would probably be the early 2000’s. All the albums are important to me in different ways, and RAM especially has helped me with going through some major life changes this past year. It’s sad to see them move on but I wish them the happiest of futures with whatever they decide to do, I’m thankful I could be there for their active years. The background is supposed to evoke the carpets found in the arcades and rollerskating rinks of my 90’s childhood. And also how I feel when I listen to Discovery, almost like a unashamed happiness. A combination of references to Daft Punk, Roulé, Crydamoure, Stardust, and space things. You can download it and tile it into a seamless wallpaper!
