I was finally able to catch a ripe fruit before the sun or the ants decimated it. Haven’t collected seed in a long while, so why not start with this monster?

Unceremonious death / Gymnocalycium saglionis

Few cactus deaths could hit harder than this one. I’ve had it for years and when I purchased it from cactuslimon is was already a massive, mature plant.

It was a solid bloomer year after year and took whatever heat and cold and rain and occasional freeze that I could throw at it.

Well, until the new house. Farewell, my friend.
