Week 4: True Love|Day 22: Kakashi takes you to your first ultrasound.

Note: Last week of the event, super duper excited. I have been quite busy these past few days, so I’m 18 hours late to the game, LOL :))) Enjoy!

If you had to choose a word to describe how you felt this morning, it would be ‘foreign’, just like how you felt three years ago, when you first met someone named Kakashi Hatake.

You scrubbed your hand on your growing belly and smiled at the bump, feeling extremely excited for your first ultrasound. Even though Kakashi could not accompany you because some matters showed up last minute and he had to leave, you were still utterly happy he offered to take you to the hospital in the first place. While you were waiting for your turn, you could not help but become more restless the closer your slot drew near—it was your first time, after all. Soon, your heart was thumping in your chest as you made your way into the doctor’s office, both hands gripping the hem of your dress.

“Please lie down on the bed,” the middle-aged woman kindly instructed after taking a look at your documents.

You did what was told, anxiously glancing at the ceiling.

“Are you here alone?” She pulled up your dress and started the process.

You heard her asking the question, and your stomach fluttered. “Yeah—”

“Sorry, I’m late.” The first time you met him, this very line was also his greetings. Impatiently, Kakashi pushed open the door and made his way to where you were lying confused and contented. “How are my babies?”

“She’s pregnant with one only, young man,” the doctor chuckled and lifted her glasses. “You are?”

“Her husband,” the silver-haired cleared his throat, “and I really meant babies.” His eye curved into a playful crescent, and he smoothed your hair softly. “She’s also my baby.”

Your face flushed bright red as the doctor chuckled louder. Kakashi never knew shame, he never did. The woman continued moving the equipment across your belly and restored her professionalism.

Kakashi followed her gaze onto the screen and got quiet all of a sudden when what seemed like an oversized bean came into sight. “Is that my baby?”

You saw his hand tightened and his face, though covered with his black mask, was a mix of apprehension and astonishment. You reached out to his hand and squeezed it slightly, getting his attention that seemed to disappear somewhere just a moment ago. “Yes?”

“Are you alright, Kakashi?”

“Yeah,” he lowered his head, his thumb rubbing your fingers, “it’s just that I never imagined being able to have a family of my own, let alone that person would be you.” The words were stuck in his throat, and the silver-haired stared into the distance. “Thank you, Y/N, for everything.”

He looked away, his visible eye obscured by happiness. You held his hand and smiled at his effort to restrain his tears from shedding—it was not the first time you saw him cry, but it was certainly one that you would never forget.

[Kakashi Hatake X Reader] Laundry Day

Week 2: Dating|Day 12: You decide to do your laundry when Kakashi is away and sneak into his turtleneck, will you be able to execute your plan smoothly though?

The two of you were gone for quite a while, both occupied with your own missions. You have been waiting all along for this moment to come. Being the earlier one to return to your shared home, you had the privilege to secretly enjoy the things you could not do under Kakashi’s presence.

Once you slipped into his comfortable black turtle neck and started the washing machine, you could not help but release a long, relieving exhale. Kakashi’s frame was relatively much larger than yours, making his top an oversized item on your body.

He would make fun of you in this state, you were certain since the silver-haired thoroughly enjoyed the instances your face flushed bright red when he easily trapped your body between his arms or when he ruffled your hair from above. The size difference between the two of you sometimes made you feel insecure, but he would always turn your insecurity into a sense of protection. You smiled as you smelled his scent engulfing you the moment you pulled the collar up a little bit. You missed Kakashi—you missed him so much.

You snuggled into the blanket, lying on top of the couch, lazily watching the TV. When you were about to doze off to sleep, you were suddenly woken up by the sound of your door opening and his voice ringing through the hallway. Startled by Kakashi’s early return, you immediately cover yourself with the blanket, embarrassed at the thought of the silver-haired seeing you in his clothes.

“Hey, Kakashi!”

He did not say another word before jumping on you, hugging you tightly with both arms. “I miss you.” The man went ahead and smothered your body in his embrace, showering you with kisses. Then, Kakashi suddenly stopped. “Is that my—”

“I ran out of clothes.” You stuttered, “But I think the laundry is done, I’ll—”

“No,” he shook his head, “keep that on, please.”

“You’re going to make fun of me.”

“I might,” Kakashi shot back, his visible eye unfathomable, “but it’s because you look too cute not to.”

“Kakashi—”

“Fine, I won’t,” he sighed and kissed you again, “but keep this one in your closet for me, okay?”

It was raining outside the staff room of the Ninja Academy, where you and Kakashi were sitting on a couch, minding your own things. The silver-haired had his focus on his favorite reads while you were deliberating whether or not to get the weight off of your chest—a weight that you have been carrying for quite a few dreading months.

“Kakashi, what do you look for in a partner?” You suddenly realized that it was so arbitrary for you to ask him like that and cleared your throat, “You know, m-my friend, they have a-a crush on you…”

“Your friend?” You successfully grabbed his attention by then as he finally put down his book and fixed his gaze on you. “Who are they and why are you stammering? I’d like to know if it’s possible.”

“Nevermind,” you mumbled, moving away from him to calm your flushing cheeks.

But once Kakashi had his attention on something, he would never let it go. He smiled and began negotiating, “One letter for one trait, how does that sound?”

Your eyes glinted at the possibility of randomly spitting out a letter that was not in your name. You crossed both arms and looked at him with inquiry-filled eyes. Kakashi sighed and replied nonetheless, “Someone who likes dogs.”

I knew that already, you thought, as obvious as it seemed. Already at a disadvantage, you huffed and chose another random letter. He leaned back, enjoying the trade. “Someone who loves to read.”

I know that, too, you furrowed your brows at a loss for words. You felt like Kakashi would never get to the main course at this rate—you already noted the traits he listed, and you needed more. Giving it another try, you hoped the man would be more helpful, but he blatantly stated, “Someone who can attune to my perception of time.”

“I know that already!” You growled—

“Butyour friend might not, Y/N.” He nonchalantly smiled, his visible eye making a beautiful crescent. Despite how delightful the man looked, his words carried electricity that shook you to the core.

“I meant I can tell them those things without your inputs.” You gulped nervously and chuckled, “Next letter.”

“The letter is unnecessary,“ she shrugged, "someone like Y/N.”
