The absolutely amazing @jaxx-in-a-box was kind enough to accept a commission for my fic “The Phoenix Potion” and drew a scene from chapter 90, Draco and Hermione’s reunion after quite some time apart.
When they came up for air the next time, Hermione touched her lips with her fingers. She loved how sensitive her skin was, that the feel of Draco’s mouth and tongue seemed to linger.
Draco let his fingers dance on her neck. His cheeks were flushed with the heat of the moment.
“I’m breaking at least two pureblood rules right now.” His eyes glittered with amusement.
“Tell me all about it, Malfoy,” she said. Her hand was on his biceps, ready to draw him in for another kiss.
“I’m in love with my wife.”
“How undistinguished and vulgar.”
“French kiss in public.”
“Shocking. I am certain, your father will hear about that.”
You finished the last touches to your makeup as you applied a pink lip gloss to your lips that complimented the long pale pink dress you wore when you heard the light patters of feet down the hall.
“I’m not wearing a tie!” You heard your almost four-year-old son argue.
“If he’s not wearing a tie, I’m not wearing a dress!” Your five-year-old daughter whined.
“You either wear what your mother has laid out for you or no ice-cream later.” Your husband, Joe warned.
