I wanna talk about friendship in heartstopper show cause someone has to, right
I absolutely adore all of them!!!
The dynamic between the main group (Charlie, Tao, Isaac and Elle) is so good.
Charlie being anxious and in love
Tao is kinda rude and overprotective friend
Isaac is a quiet romantic (and may i add aromantic) kid who knows what’s up
And Elle being a reasonable queen
I love how affectionate they are with each other. They hugging when they meet, they texting each other I miss you/love you. Just straight up saying that they love each other. It’s such a sweet and genuine friendship!
Especially if you look at Nicks friends who are like these manly mates. But these guys just love each other and don’t afraid to show it☺️
Tao and Charlie
I saw that some people called Tao annoying (I can understand why) but I adore this boy so much. He is just sooo overprotective of his friends mainly because he’s afraid to lose them. And he kinda lost Elle already (since she changed school) and now there is a possibility of losing Charlie to Nick. And considering all the problems Charlie had to face last year, I understand Tao’s feelings. I think it’s nice to see a character who’s so deeply caring and protective of his friends. I wish his make up scene with Charlie was a bit longer cause the conflict here is quite interesting. And I hope they will explore this theme and Tao’s feelings and relationships more in the next season.
Tao and Elle
So they like each other romantically now. And I’m interested how they gonna get together considering that Tao really doesn’t like changes and kinda prefer friendship to romantic relationship in the show. That being said, I adore them. They so close and honest with each other. They talk about important stuff and ready to help each other. Again, a very genuine friendship and I’m interested what they’re going to do with them in the next season.
Nick and Imogen
I know there’re a lot of different opinions on Imogen and understandably so but you can see that she has good intentions towards Nick. They’ve been friends for some time and they clearly care about each other. And I find it really nice that she understood his feelings and stand by his side. They continued to be friends and she’s genuinely happy for him by the end of the season.
Nick, Tara and Darcy
I think it’s kinda adorable that they became friends simply because “we found another one”. They’re helping him, sharing their experience with coming out and relationship and starting to become friends simply because it’s nice to find more queer people.
Elle, Tara and Darcy
What a cute dynamic! I think it’s very sweet that they wanted to support Elle and let her into their inner circle, Elle immediately supports and accepts them when found out about their relationship. And these three just continue to support and helping each other throughout the whole season.
Paris Squad
I’m hoping there’s going to be season 2 because I need more of them!!!! This group has so much chaotic potential. The milkshake scenes and them running down the corridor together They’re really funny to watch and I hope to see them interact more in the next season.
People are already shipping Kit and Joe irl, and speculating on either’s sexuality. These boys are 18 for crying out loud. Their sexuality is NONE of your business. They don’t need to label shit.
Something i forgot to add: Kit is NOT queerbaiting. He’s an actor. He’s doing his fucking job. He does not owe you queerness just because the character he plays is bi. He does not owe you a label.
Some of you desperately need to learn how to mind your goddamn business.
