Usually how myself and surroundings can be described during and after an art-attack (especially with the current ink obsession), so with today’s keyword I thought I’d get in there first and deliberately slap some ink on the part of my hand which usually gets covered accidentally (and fingers). Thought the result looked reasonably mammoth-esque, so filled in some features. Certainly an original piece, though the concept has been around for thousands of years. Somewhat cathartic.
I love drawing this pair from my youth, and it’s been a while, so today’s keyword was a bloody good excuse. I hope I do justice to Mr @evandorkin’s anarchic characters. I’d love to see Milk & Cheese make a comeback some day.
Apart from our nearest star, this is possibly the most gigantic object I’ve seen with my own eyes (telescopically aided of course). Not quite finished, and slightly past midnight, but I’m happy as a pig in poop with this experiment. Mixture of #Copic markers and #WindsorAndNewton inks, Copic and compressor-based airbrush, with some dip-pen detail over the top.
