hi guys.

this blog is going on hiatus for over a month because i cannot keep up with posts and school finals.  sorry for the inconvenience!

and this is also a formal call for new members to this blog.  i cannot run it alone really, and any help would be great for all of our followers (as you all know, we’re not updating as much as we used to mostly due to my time restraints).

you can message us on this blog here or on my primary blog here with your email and a simple promise that you’ll keep this blog updated best as you can.

thanks so much for sticking with us!

Hello you fabulous and brilliant bookworms,

I realized today that while I posted about this on my personal blog I never actually said anything here.  Fear not friends, I have not abandoned you forever!  I am on a sporadic hiatus at the moment because I am traveling in Israel for a few months.  I’d apologize for neglecting you but, well, I’m not actually that sorry.  I’m volunteering at a Bedouin Hospitality place right near the Dead Sea, hanging out with camels, eating sinful amounts of hummus, and lounging around inside tents, drinking tea with a bunch of Bedouin guys.

If you’re interested in following my adventures abroad, you can check out the Rosie Travels tag on my personal blog, where I post periodic updates when I have a moment of internet.  Fair warning though, the internet at the village is REALLY spotty!  I am not able to post often, and though I absolutely love getting replies and hearing from all of you, I may not be able to respond right away.

In terms of book news… due to leaving for Israel and the flurry of packing etc. associated with that I did not quite finish my goal of reading 100 new books in 2013.  I did read 95 though, so I think that’s reasonable.  If you’re interested in seeing what I read last year, you can check out my Goodreads account.  This list does not include rereads.  If there are any books on the list that you want me to review, send me an ask and I’ll publish a short review in response.

In other news, there is a large Polish man brushing his beard with a hairbrush on the bed next to me in this hostel.  My life is very surreal sometimes, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Shalom from the Holy Land kids!  I’ll be back at the end of March, assuming I don’t run away to Europe.  It might happen.  Stay tuned.

Love,

Rosie
