LIVE

Although it was not the final segment on this week’s NXT broadcast, I felt Hideo Itami’s beatdown and apparent heel turn on Oney Lorcan was the part of the program. I was shocked to hear the fans actually boo Itami for his excessive use of the GTS (three, actually) on the vulnerable Lorcan. At first, they cheered the move, but when it became apparent that he was going for a second and third time, the room got vocal. Kassius Ohno, who ran into confront Itami, will undoubtedly be his next rival. I look forward to that feud.

One thing, I must say Oney Lorcan is the AJ Styles of NXT. He has had great matches with Rich Swann, Andrade Almas, Drew McInytre, and now Itami. I don’t know what his future holds in NXT/WWE, but I sense the moment he’s allowed to go full throttle on the roster, he WILL become champion. The slap fight between he and Itami was more exciting than most ‘main events’ these days.

But I know that every profession wrestling fan out there knows exactly what…
