Frescos from the Villa of the Mysteries in Pompeii as 3-tile wall paintings. Three variations.

Ancient Roman Thermopolium
Romans could get a hot meal at a thermopolium, where dishes made with legumes, meats and cheeses were served. Clay containers sunk into the counters kept the hot food insulated. Thermopolia also offered a favored fermented fish sauce called Garum. This pungent sauce was used as a condiment, heaped over servings of lentils and pork.

Ancient Rome WIP
Small farms can be found on the rolling hills that surround the city. Some families produce barely enough to survive while others raise surplus livestock and crops to sell at the market.

Ancient Rome WIP
Extravagant villas of the patrician class.
Ancient Rome WIP
Preview of the crowded city streets lined with towering and sometimes poorly-built insulae (ancient apartment blocks). Shops open onto the street level with apartments stacked above. The nicest apartments with the most space and highest chance of escaping the frequent fires and structural collapses are located on the lower floors. The accommodations become less desirable the higher up you climb, with the highest floors offering cramped, deteriorating rentals.
Food for hundreds of noble guests is prepared in the castle kitchens and stored in the adjoining pantry and larder. The smell of warm bread and juicy, spit-roasted meat swirls through the hot room.
Inspired by a medieval house in Argentan, France.
Credit and thanks to @joojconverts for the conversion of the Johanka dress from Kingdom Come Deliverance!
Salem Witch House
Inspired by the Jonathan Corwin House (aka Salem Witch House).
Once the home of a well-respected judge, the witch house is now shunned by the townsfolk who believe the house is cursed by the memory of the judge’s granddaughter, Elizabeth, hanged for witchcraft on the testimony of her own young daughter. After the execution of her mother, Jennet was cared for by her grandmother who, on Jennet’s 11th Halloween, led her through a false panel in the root cellar to a room filled with glittering bottles and strange smells. Here in the secret room Jennet’s grandmother taught her magic because, after all, Jennet was a witch too.

The Great Hall in the royal palace laid for a feast and awaiting the arrival of noble guests. Servants have been working since before dawn preparing roast meats, breads and sweet cakes. The open gallery overlooking the Great Hall is a favorite spot of court gossips straining to hear private conversations of the partygoers below.
Well met, I’m Corvid Sol. I started this simblr to share pictures of my Sims 3 builds. I love meticulously crafting historical-ish towns where each building is filled with lifelike detail. I’m currently working on a medieval / Tudor era town in the beautiful world Ulokea by SimmerRho and have recently started rebuilding Monte Vista into an ancient Roman metropolis. All of my builds are made possible by the wonderful historical cc creators in the Sims 3 community.
Exterior photos of the Plantagenet family’s main castle, home of King William and Queen Catherine. The oldest parts of the castle date back to the early thirteenth century when a relatively modest structure stood in this location. Towering additions constructed by Kings and Queens over the past three hundred years blend in by emulating the Frankish pointed architecture.
Pictures of the inside coming soon!
